“It's a great apartment for a couple for a short stay.”
+The check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was very clean and the cleaner was excellent and left us bottles of water and coffee capsules, which was much appreciated. The owners always answered my queries promptly and sorted out any issues I had too. There is a kitchenette with an oven, hob, microwave and fridge but no saucepans/frying pans or other equipment was available. I'm sure if I asked it would have been provided but it's difficult to plan ahead when you are on holiday. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was pleasantly decorated. It's a great apartment for a couple for a short stay but not for those wanting to use both the bed in the main area and the one in the bedroom.
−The apartment was clean when we arrived but I had to call on the 4th day to ask about the cleaning arrangements because I wasn't informed that I had to arrange it myself. The apartment is down an alley which has no access by car with stairs at one end. It was very difficult for the taxi from the airport to find. I was travelling with my elderly mother and we used taxis a fair bit so when we used taxis after that we had them pick us up or drop us off using an address from the road that had access without steps. Arriving in the evening, I would have appreciated some instructions about how to access the apartment due to the narrow alley. The layout of the apartment wasn't very well thought out. The 2 plugs for the coffee maker and the kettle were above the sink and there was just enough space to make a coffee but it would have been challenging to have prepared any food if there had been any cooking equipment, The whole of the main area was taken up with a double bed and there was no table and chairs inside, so if we didn't want to sit outside we either had to sit on a small wooden stool which was very uncomfortable or on the bed which was rather unhygienic as we were using both double

“I really enjoyed my stay and my accommodation in Candia Strada”
+The room was equipped with a small , but handy kitchenette and an excellent airco-system. The bathroom was small, but handy. The location of CandiaStrada in Iraklion is really excellent, close to the cultural center, but in a quiet neighbourhood. The bus stop of the airport bus is within short walking distance and shops, supermarkets and good restaurants are also within walking distance.
−The only little remark I have with respect to the room, is that it did not have an appropriate table and chairs. Instead it had several modern looking "tree trunks" that had to function as such. While this is a nice interior design, it is somewhat less handy and easy if you have to do computer work (which was the case for me). Yet, for the remainder it was an excellent room and setting, and I'm sure that if I had asked for an extra table and chair, it would have been provided.

“Easy, comfortable and reasonably priced stay. Recommended!”
+Clean and well finished apartment, located in a quiet area. Much cheaper than hotel room of equivalent size. Very clear instructions on how to enter the apartment even when arriving late.
−I didn't find a bin to put waste in so I used a plastic bag instead. Also, the sofa is a tad uncomfortable for watching TV. An L-shaped sofa placed flush against the wall would be great.

+Clean, good location.
−Water pump noise at midnight, unable to sleep. E-mailed owner, fixed the problem. Water leaking from shower to floor. Did not mention self management.

“Fab, quirkly little apartment just minutes away from the hustle and bustle.”
+Lovely, quirky, little 2-bed apartment in a quiet residential area of Heraklion. Just 5 minutes walk from great bars and restaurants, shops, and the historical beauty of this stunning city. Quaint, traditional, open-air courtyard outside of our ground floor apartment lovely for breakfast or evening drinks. Will most certainly stay here again.
−The apartments are obviously newly renovated (top floor still under construction) so there are a few tiny teething problems. Needs more mugs and cutlery; a shelf in the shower wouldn't go amiss; and electrcal sockets in kitchenette area badly position - but, hey, this is Crete! The lovely, daily cleaner asked if there was anything we needed - so the crockery/cutlery situation was easily resolved.

+The place was amazing! Super cozy and clean, with really nice decor that made it feel like home. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, always making sure I had everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want a great experience!
