“Unique, artistic homestay in charming chalet”
+This is less of a hotel and more of a quirky, artistic homestay. The rooms are little chalets / annexes on the grounds of the owners' compound. The architecture is unique and beautiful, Gaudi-style. It is very peaceful and quiet, the owners are lovely, and the little chalet was well equipped with A/C, fridge, and coffee maker.
−While relatively close to the center, the area is not very nice. No curtains meant we were awake at 6am. Since it's a homestay, there is no staff on site, and the garden / outdoor areas could do with a little TLC and maintenance. Lots of mosquitos in the rainy season, make sure to bring repellent.

“Recommended for its unique style”
+Gaudi- like architecture of the grounds was unique and impressive. Pool was nice too.
−The grounds were run down and need to be better maintained.

“A unique artistic experience that you will treasure always.”
+It is a truly unique Proprty staying in an architecturally designed casita. The gardens are beautiful and the art and sculptural forms a delight. The hosts are warm and welcoming, they have a coffee percolator AND provide coffee. There are three gorgeous dogs onsite and many charming cats next door. I fed the cats each morning which always makes us feel at home in the community. Short walk to everything. Do yourself a favour and stay here if you get the chance.
−I couldn’t stay longer.

“Very good”
+Beautiful place and incredible location, only a 15 min walk from the main city square, and just a few minutes away from coffee shops and amenities. The place itself is gorgeous, especially the garden with the swimming pool (which we basically had for ourselves for the entire stay). The owners were very helpful too when we had any requests and questions about the area!
−One of the shower heads didn't work, but there are two so it was not a problem :)

“Comfortable accommodations, close to plaza, would stay again.”
+Interesting spot run by a dancer and architect/artist. Fascinating layout that our 9 year old loved. Really creative with the accommodations and a 10 minute walk to the main plaza in Merida. Very easy to get around and parking was right in front. Very, very cool people.
−Wish we could've stayed a couple of extra days. There's a lot to see in Merida.
