+Very quiet area a few minutes ride from Varenna. The host (Alessandro) is very open and helpful. The property is located in a beautiful old building, very clean and comfortable. Simple but good breakfast. There is a terrific view point of Como located literally 2 minutes away.
−If travelling by bus (especially in the evening) make sure to confirm the exact location of the stop with the driver.

+We had an excellent stay! The place was very comfortable, clean and peaceful and antique beautiful furniture that makes you feel you when back in time. Ale was a wonderful host and stayed in touch with us to make sure he was there to welcome us when we arrived. Having a private bathroom was a big plus. Even though the rooms don’t have air conditioning, they stay surprisingly cool and we slept very comfortably. We really enjoyed our stay!
−The only difficult part was arriving with luggage. Public transportation leaves you quite far downhill, and getting up to the property with suitcases was very challenging. It would be helpful to recommend taking a taxi from the station when arriving with luggage. Once settled in, getting around is much easier,you can walk down the stairs to the nearest station, and there is also a free evening shuttle from 7 PM to midnight that takes you back up to Perledo.

“Quiet and pretty”
+Alessandro and his wife we’re very welcoming and helpful! The place was clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very complete with an Italian touch
−We got upgraded to the apartment which was nice but the wifi doesn’t reach the room (only the staircase in the room) and it’s essential in an area like this one that doesn’t have any reception. A wifi extender would be good to consider (and is cheap too!). It would have been nice to have full blinds in the room (currently just a veil) for more intimacy since the building is very close to the neighbours building and window.

−Er was geen restaurantje in de buurt. Ook geen bar of winkeltje. Gelukkig deden de eigenaars boodschappen voor me. Openbaar vervoer is zeer beperkt.

“Bel emplacement pour partir en randonnée”
+Bel emplacement, dans un petit village isolé. On domine le lac, la vue est très belle de la terrasse devant l'église, 30 m en contrebas. Décoration de l'établissement "dans son jus", pour reprendre l'expression de mon frère. Du coup, parfois très kitsch, mais ça fait partie du charme. Petit déjeuner bien, mais pas formidable. Alessandro est collaborant, mais j'ai déjà connu des hôtes plus enthousiastes.
−Le Wi-Fi ! Très mauvaise couverture dans l'établissement, et pas de données cellulaires.
