“A lovely hotel, perfect for a special occasion or just fancy a memorable night away.”
+Staff where fantastic. Room was amazing, the little touches elevated the experience. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and also had breakfast. Food was excellent. Location was really nice, bang in the centre of Holt.

“Cute, cosy property with great staff but it’s not 5 star”
+Very polite and attentive staff, great location, overall vibe of the building was terrific, bathtub was great, pretty views too
−Disregarded our request to remove diffuser from room which can trigger a flare in my wife’s condition. Low ceilings in room. That the property described itself as 5 star when it definitely wasn’t. It wasn’t made explicitly clear that our room was up several flights of stairs which for my disabled wife wasn’t ideal

“We had an excellent stay at Byfords, but next time I shall ask a few more questions before booking.”
+The little extras like after dinner chocolates in the bar, the Nespresso coffee machine in the room, fresh milk and cold filtered water in the fridge. The breakfast menu is wonderful on top of all the normal breakfast items that we could help ourselves to.
−There was no mirror in the bedroom. The only one was in the bathroom. There was no power point in the bathroom, so there was no where to plug in an electric tooth brush or a shaver not to mention the hair dryer. The socket nearest the bathroom allowed the hair dryer as far as the bathroom door, so to use the mirror in the bathroom with the hair dryer was not easy.
