“Highly recommend - nature beauty!”
+Giulia and Nathan are wonderful hosts! At my arrival they warmly welcomed me, and showed me the apartment. They were very helpful and available for information and suggestions all the time. Also there were fluffy chocolate muffins waiting… Delicious 😋 ! The property is very well kept and super clean. It is surrounded by nature, has a beautiful view on the Umbrian hills, and is very quiet and relaxing. It felt like home.

+We loved our stay at Butterflies Rest! The hosts are fantastic and the house is very spacious and comfortable. The land and surrounding area was absolutely stunning! They have goats, ducks, chickens and bees which our son absolutely loved. We will be back for sure!

“Fantastic Hospitality in the Countryside”
+I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay at Butterflies Rest. The hosts, Guilia and Nathan, are an amazing couple who are determined to live their lives in a peaceful setting and being guardians of nature and the environment. Having grown up on a farm, I really enjoyed visiting with them. I would like to clarify a bit one of the previous reviews (which I always read and they help determine if I will book a place). The review MAY have been a victim of translation because when I saw the review again in Italian, part of the road to the property was described as "strada bianca" which translates to white road but the booking.com translation made it "dirt road" in English. Since I am driving a small car, I was afraid that I might get mired in mud if it rained heavily but the road is actually what we in the US would call a gravel road, which can be tricky to drive on and is very dusty when it hasn't rained recently. The hospitality was marvelous; breakfast was very tasty and adequate. Guilia and Nathan purchased the property just before Covid-19 lockdowns started and their renovations of the property took longer than expected during the "Covid time." But they are up and running
−The property IS a bit difficult to find, especially if you have a GPS system that really doesn't work too well and has trouble recognizing addresses! After reading the reviews, I had decided to try to reach them, approaching from Scheggia. However, I got pretty close and found the road (route 452) was closed. They are working on a tunnel and have advised that the road will remain closed until at least December of 2023. I finally called and was directed to leave Gubbio and travel to Mocaiana, which is about 5-7 kilometers north of Gubbio and well marked. If you approach Mocaiana on this route, you will see a sign for a restaurant, "Buffone", which directs you along the correct road to get to Butterflies Rest. You will know you are heading in the right direction when you see a wind turbine. If you rely on your GPS, it may direct you from Mocaiana back to SR 219 and route 452 which is the road which is temporarily closed. So, watch for the sign to Buffone and follow that road which is SR 207. It is approximately 14 kilometers from the turn in Mocaiana, of which between 4 and 5 kilometers are the above described "white road" or gravel. Just slow down and take it easy on this stretch an

+Luogo meraviglioso e lontano dalla frenesia a cui siamo ormai tutti abituati. L'ospitalità di Giulia e Nathan è curatissima in ogni dettaglio, perfetti padroni di casa. Posizione immersa nella campagna umbra ma allo stesso tempo comoda a moltissime mete. B&B consigliatissimo!!

+Tutto perfetto!! Abbiamo soggiornato qualche giorno in quest'oasi di relax poco distante da Gubbio. Punto strategico per girare l'Umbria e non essere in mezzo al caos. Posto bellissimo, i miei bimbi super felici immersi nella natura con gli animali, Giulia e suo marito persone gentilissime e super disponibili!lo consiglio davvero!

“IL REST INCANTATO”
+Dell'alloggio mi é piaciuta tantissimo, in primis l'accoglienza dei gestori: sempre disponibili alle mie richieste e a scambiare due chiacchiere. Poi ancora il luogo, pulito e completamente immerso nella pace e nella serenità della natura, fattore che aiuta a vivere al meglio l'esperienza.
