10.0“Lovely characterful farmhouse”
+Lovely farmhouse with loads of characrer. Penny and Paul were terrific hosts with homely touches like afternoon tea and a fireplace on cold nights. Penny does a lovely breakfast. Plenty of extra amenities. Would highly recommend.

10.0“Beautiful farmhouse in an idyllic location”
+Thatched Brook Farmhouse is in an idyllic location surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside. Our room and bathroom housed within this stunning 17th century farmhouse were large and comfortable with plenty of storage space. Breakfast, carefully crafted by host Penny, was served piping hot and was delicious.

10.0“Relaxing”
+Breakfast was just right to help start our day. My husband and I were house hunting in Devon and it was a pleasure to come back to the farmhouse to relax. Penny and Paul are really nice and friendly people.

10.0“Just perfect”
+The farm house is such a beautiful old building in the countryside. The access to our room was through a low door and up a steep, slightly twisted short staircase. The floors are very uneven making you feel like you're on a boat. This would not suit anyone with mobility issues but we loved the quirkiness of it! The bedroom and private bathroom was very comfortable and had everything we needed. High quality bed linen and towels. Penny and Paul were welcoming lovely hosts. Outstanding breakfast provided. Close to Fingle Bridge and Castle Drogo

9.0“Quintessentially English bed and breakfast”
+A tranquil thatched cottage dating back to I think around 1650 (can’t remember exact date). Tea on the lawn; delicious breakfast; perfect place to chill. Two beautiful friendly dogs.
−We didn’t have a car which did make things more difficult. Penny kindly gave us a lift to our wedding venue we were attending. The surrounding lanes are extremely narrow. No nearby shops; places to eat within walking distance but you can’t have everything!

10.0“Wonderful accommodation with exceptional hosts”
+The room was a good size and very comfortable and clean. The hosts, Penny and Paul, were extremely warm, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Proximity to Exeter and Dartmoor National Park was a plus. The b&b is in a quiet location. Spacious sitting area available for guests, together with interesting reading material. Lots of travel information available for local area, including many detailed hiking maps.
−No restaurants within walking distance. Property is accessed by very narrow road - nothing unusual for the area but perhaps a bit daunting for some.

9.0+It is a lovely old farmhouse, nice and cool. Room was spacious. The breakfast was superb. The only reason I didn't give it top top marks is the bathroom , though just for our use, was not ensuite.
