+I reached out to try to communicate with the property owner and got no response. When we got off the train, it was pouring rain and it was too early to check in. I was trying to find out if I could store my bags or check in early, but nobody responded. I communicated first thing in the morning and it was several hours until I arrived in town. I ended up ducking into the first restaurant I could find to stay out of the rain, and had a meal I would not have chosen to eat otherwise. The entire room smells strongly of carpet powder or something like that. I think it is trying to mask the odor of dampness or something, but it really is overpowering. The property is in a good location.

“Nice Guesthouse - No breakfast”
+A nice Guesthouse, renovated and in good condition. Bed and especially the cushions are uncomfortable. There is no breakfast, despite the fact that they advertise on the booking platform, that a breakfast would be available for £10.- additional charge per person (it seems that they stopped serving breakfast with COVID). Unfortunately there is no full English breakfast available within walking distance. They all open only at 10am! There is a café which opens earlier, but no English breakfast, only a weird müsli and coffee/ tea and some vegan things. So we were left without breakfast for three days.

+Lovely people they made us very welcome. Everything perfect and in a great position. The only negatve I have is that the shower is very small with not much room to manoeuvre it would be a problem if youre on the large side.

+Tracy and Trace were very welcoming when we arrived and took time to tell us all about the local area, suggest walks for us and answer any questions we had. The rooms we warm, clean and cosy which was especially nice after having been caught out in the rain on one day and there were home made cakes everyday for you to tuck into after a day out. Overall we had a great weekend; TnT were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The guesthouse is in a great location, right in the middle of Windermere Town and a 20 minute walk down to Bowness.
