+Though it's a bit old property, the management of this business is pretty up to standard. The bed is comfortable and clean. The breakfast is freshly prepared and nice too. Good value for money.

“It was a huge disappointment-I left immediately and went to a nearby 4 star hotel for just 25% more”
+Nothing!
−The so-called single room with bathroom was not that at all - it was a small room with an enclosed toilet and a shower and basin in the room. It was NOT a private bathroom by any stretch of the imagination. The cupboard was very small and not very sturdy. The photographs on the website are very misleading. The premises looked "tired" and the only redeeming feature was the clean linen.

“Disappointing”
+Bed was comfortable so had a good sleep
−we were told bow guest house was overbooked, so we were moved to the hotel next door, crown lodge. the man checking us in was lovely, however when we got to the room, it was very unclean. the shower was falling off the wall too. we came back from the festival at around midnight, we knocked at reception to ask about breakfast we had paid for the next day. the receptionist was asleep on the sofa in the dark, i understand needing rest but for reception to be open/ unlocked, we didn’t expect this. he had no idea wine breakfast was as it was booked next door, we luckily guessed 8am and managed to get it before it closed at 9am. breakfast was okay and they amended my breakfast to be vegetarian friendly. overall i wouldn’t stay at either again as it was unclean and unprofessional. i understand increasing the rates of a room for the festival, but i didn’t feel this was value for money at all.

“Homely breakfasts and nice atmosphere”

−We were not aware the toilet was shared with another room in the corridor when we booked. Was not a problem though!

“Good location with parking but not very clean”
+The bed was comfy, there was some free parking available at the property and it was a good location about 15 mins walk from the town centre
−The place wasn't clean and just needs some TLC. There was a layer of built up grime on every bathroom surface across multiple shared bathrooms. Everything has been bodged cheaply and could be really good value and more appealing with a deep clean, a few coats of paint and replacement of tired items e.g. rusted light fittings.

“Perfect for the hospital location, albeit overpriced for what you get.”
+It was very convenient as I was visiting a family member in hospital so was able to walk instead of paying the high parking costs. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was very comfortable
−I felt the room was quite small and the shower was not great. I didn’t line they the glass door were visa me to the room and it was small in the cubicle. The shower and toilet rooms were not very clean.

+A pleasant stay in a clean and comfortable single room with shared shower and toilet. A friendly welcome, cooked breakfast in the morning and a great pub at the end of the street. What's not to like.

+Es un sitio sencillo pero suficiente. Se encuentra en una calle tranquila, cerca de la zona peatonal central de la localidad. Te cocinan el típico desayuno inglés en el momento.
−Mi estancia coincidió con la ola de calor así que la temperatura era muy alta en el hotel (aunque tampoco tienen la culpa de ello). No tienen ascensor y tuve que cargar un piso con el equipaje.
