“Overpriced flophouse”
+The location at the lagoon is nice, though all other lakefront properties offer the same. We didn’t experience any of the power outages described in some other reviews.
−For the record, this is the only one star review we’ve ever written for a hotel. The pictures and the high price are completely misleading. This is a budget hotel. For instance, we were appointed to a different room than our booking. Everything, without exception, was old and/or dirty and/or broken. Hair in the shower, curtains that kept falling of the wall, stained and worn-out sheets and towels, a broken safe, and a set of dirty veils hanging directly above the bed that are covered with dust. The life jackets were moldy. Our worst experience was the ‘restaurant’. The woman working there was beyond impolite. The expensive meal we ordered looked like something cooked on a budget airline. Half a fish filet, five (!) frozen supermarket fries, and some packaged salad. I never knew you could feel offended by a meal. There are unfortunately very few food alternatives close to the hotel. After asking to be given our booked room and raising some of these concerns, the receptionist(s) told us that the bed in this room was bigger, so that, in other words, we shouldn’t complain. The receptionist referred to our complaints as (I quote) ‘details’. (Funnily enough, their disregard for such ‘det
