“NEVER AGAIN!!!”
−Title: Bedbugs, No Staff at Reception, Constant Noise and Disappointing Customer Service Unfortunately, my experience at Bird In Hand was extremely disappointing. I found bugs resembling bedbugs in the bed and woke up at approximately 00:30 a.m. after being bitten. This was a very distressing experience, and the hygiene conditions were unacceptable. I have photographs and video recordings documenting what I found. To make matters worse, there was nobody at reception at approximately 00:30 a.m. I tried calling the telephone number provided in my Booking.com reservation, but nobody answered. I was left without assistance at a time when I urgently needed help. Another serious issue was the constant noise from a washing machine, which ran for almost the entire night. It was still running at 8:00 a.m., making it impossible to relax or get a proper night's sleep. There was also a damaged door lock, which caused additional discomfort and concerns about security during my stay. I submitted a formal complaint to Booking.com and requested a full refund. Unfortunately, the property rejected my complaint. Booking.com subsequently offered me just £8.42 in travel credit instead of the full refun

“Lice in the sheets. Avoid.”
+It's easily accessible from the bus stops and close to takeaway places in Henlow, the check in process was easy enough and the landlady was helpful when I spoke to her to check in.
−There were lice crawling over the sheets. I do not fancy getting lice from a hotel, when they are on the duvet and on the pillows. Nobody should have to worry that they are going to be bitten by parasites in their bed. The bed itself was uncomfortable, and the nonstop sound of pipes running ensured I was waking up through the night. I checked out first thing to avoid getting bitten any more than I inevitably was during the night. Insanity.

“A property that offers a lot, but provides nothing”
+The property is easy to find
−The website lists this property as serving food, it does not. The rooms were not cleaned. The room I was upgraded to had only 4 lightbulbs out of ten working, a sponge bathroom floor with loose or uneven toiles in the floor. The bath still had hair in the plug hole. Curtains did not cover all of the windows and furniture was falling apart. The QR code for the parking in the room didn’t work. I did ask the staff early upon my arrival that the room hadn’t been cleaned and most of the lightbulbs were mismatched LEDs and didn’t work. They said that they would have a look after their shift, They didn’t do anything If that is what I was upgraded to, what should I have had.
