“Very convenient for staying in an area where you can hike.”
+Where it is situated. Beds comfortable.
−Has that musty smell and rooms were darted. Our window screen was broken. The outlet for the fridge wasn’t working. The heating unit was broken but they gave us a heater.

+Clean , easy to find and next to where I was photographing a client. And the staff was really friendly and helpful.
−Bed was really uncomfortable.

“Nice lodge in heart of Big Sur”
+Pleasant room, looks recently remodelled, large and spacious, with couch rollaway. Full beds, comfortable (but IDK why they put full beds vs queen when the room is so large they could easily fit the larger bed) Restaurant food was good for a park lodge and reasonably priced. Groceries in the store were heavily marked up. Easy parking and the stay includes park entry in all state parks for the days of stay Tip - Andrew Molera beach is free and stunning, Pfeiffer beach is $15 for parking (separate concession).
−Fireplace was a downer bc of the smell of the cold fireplace filling the room - even after opening the windows. Tip - get a room without a fireplace. The fireplace was clean and freshly swept, but didn't need a fire and the smell remains.

“Great food and location, some maintenance issues made for a less than comfortable stay.”
+Food was excellent, beds were comfortable, great location
−Fireplace in my room created so much smoke the fire alarm kept going off and all of our belongings smelled like smoke. Heater in the room was broken.

“Below expectations. Very few restaurants that had good food. 2 days is more then not”
+Location was decent. Because of fire most trail were closed. That should have been mentioned.
−The heater made loud noise. The restaurant food was below average. Pricy and not worth it. The servers were good.

+Cabins were set amongst the redwoods and very close to some nice bush walks. Warm and cozy- pity we were only staying one night. Would love to come back for a longer stay

“Great location. We would stay longer next time.”
+Good location in Pfeiffer park on Big Sur. Great for hiking & visiting local beaches. Lots of wildlife around the cabins.
−Ideally the food offerings might stay open after 8pm.

“Overpaid due to Booking.com and lodge shifting risk to me”
+Great location in stunning area
−Had to pay twice because lodge had not received $ from Booking.com for 2 cabins even though reservation was received. Now I am having to dispute and argue with credit card company. Meanwhile, lodge received Booking.com $ and half of what I paid when I arrived. Will not use 3rd party to book in future.

“Disappointed”
+Once we lit the fire and made the lodge cozy.
−We were not told before hand the restaurant would be closed for an evening meal, so we had to drive back out to buy something to eat. We also were not told there had been a wild fire in August so the park and trails were all shut and couldn't be hiked on. This was a very expensive stay with no where to eat or drink to relax after a long drive.
