“Garden Suite was perfect”
+The staff was great! I ran 100 miles to Alpena and really needed a shower and to sleep. The staff made sure my room was ready early for me which I really appreciate!

“As a base of operations for checking out the Alpena area - it worked fine. Room was just very small.”
+Location was great. Easy to find out way to and from going into Alpena. Park on lake with beach was a nice plus. Excellent Italian estaurant next door was so close we walked to it.
−Room was pretty small. But it was clean and bed was comfortable.

“Fantastic little mom&pop motel right across a little park right on Lake Huron.”
+Fantastic little mom&pop motel right across a little park right on Lake Huron. A "blast from the past" motel but it is clear there is a lot of love and care put into maintenance and upgrades. A real treat. A particular interesting item of note is how amazingly effective the small, older motel room space was managed. There was a nice sized bed, cubby storage spaces, a small cafe table with two chairs, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, TV, and even a recliner in a pretty confined space. Impressive! There is even a very nice Italian restaurant next door that was recommended.
