“Not safe for children”

“Amazing boat cruise on the Chobe river”
+Beautiful setting & a big thank you to “OT” who went to a lot of trouble helping is set up our own braai for the second night, that we are out of the way from the wedding group. Also a big thank you to the lady who washed our linen & clothes.
−I did the booking 12 months in advance for a group of 10 people. We’ve booked dinner and a boat cruise & also did laundry. It was meant to be 2 days of rest halfway through our camping safari. It seems like the ladies working at reception either does not communicate well with each other re arrangements or to the clients. The boat cruise was lovely but arrangements re pick up time & payment was not done properly & caused a lot of running around to find 10 people staying in different chalets.

“Comfortable, clean, simple stay on the Chobe”
+Comfortable, clean, location on the Chobe, very helpful organisation of activities/shuttle etc by the front of house staff (we had a fabulous boat cruise at a v reasonable price). The campsite and chalets on the river looked nice.
−We were in the family room which was right at the back of the property (no view) and did not look the loveliest, (although still spacious and spotlessly clean). Property has SO much potential but needs a manager with some vision and drive-it definitely could be better maintained and neatened up (reception area, reception bathrooms, front entrance, pool area NB!) then it would be GREAT!

“Very pleasant stay. Would return again.”
+We had chalet/huts numbers 1 and 2. Refurbished and very comfortable. Their location superb overlooking the Chobe river. Very tranquil. Enjoyed being away from the tourist groups in Kasane. Breakfasts were good and staff helpful.
−Area where the resort is located not great. Road at night to Kazangula area not good. Believe the resort recently under new management, and signs of positive changes. Garden furniture dirty and rusted. Restaurant food - dinner was average.

“Angenehme Lage - ruhig - sauber - Boot-Trip auf dem Chobe sehr schön!”
+Lage am Fluss und die Terasse war super.
−Servicedienstleistungen intransparent! zB "Day Trip Vic Falls" (Erwartungen: Taxiservice, Eintritt und Mittagessen), anstatt "Transport Vic Falls and back". Wir mussten neben Grenzübertritt Zimbabwe (32 Euro), dass man noch akzeptieren kann, 58 USD Eintritt zum Vic Falls bezahlen!!! Wir mussten auch selber ein Mittagessen bezahlen - Die Kommunikation war unglaublich schlecht - es ist ein Wunder, dass es überhaupt geklappt hat. ZB. Wir sassen eine Stunde länger im Taxi weil der Taxifahrer zuerst noch Touren fahren musste für andere Passagiere - wir fühlten uns abgeschoben und gar nicht aufgehoben! Als wir endlich ankam, war nicht mehr so viel Zeit zur Verfügung noch nach Livingston zu gehen! Ich war 11 Mal dort - es hat nichts gekostet für ein Eintritt, ausser das letzte Mal, aber nicht mal 10 USD. Ich bin mir sicher dort läuft ABzocke beim Vic Falls, denn, alles was dort ist, war vor 13 Jahre auch dort!!! Was machen sie mit dem Geld????

“große Anlage - Preis-Leistung in Ordnung”

−wir waren die einzigen Gäste in der Lodge und hatten zwei Hütten gebucht, trotzdem war es nicht möglich, die beiden Hütten nebeneinander zu bekommen. War aber trotzdem ein super Aufenthalt, alles andere war gut.
