“Allan helped us feel at home, welcoming us and helping carry our suitcase”
+Allan was friendly and accommodating. The view out our window was exceptional.
−I’m sensitive to mold smells and fragrances used to clean or cover up the odors. The downstairs lounge area and dining room were particularly hard to be in.

+Allan is a great and energetic host, making you feel home. We could use the dining room and facilities for our take-away food (there weren't a lot of restaurants open during our visit), with a great view over the sea. We went hiking for a day and could borrow a set of hiking poles for free. The room wasn't especially fancy, but it had all essentials. Breakfast gets freshly made every morning and there was plenty of it. All in all, a great base for exploring Arran.

“Great location.”
+Great quiet location good breakfast and helpful owners.
−The room 4 bed was quite uncomfortable and creaked when we moved in it. Also it was annoying that the extractor fan and light came on automatically whenever the toilet room door was opened. Especially as we got up in the early hours for the loo.

“Convenient location and excellent value for money.”
+The location is very close to the ferry terminal. It is rather dated but comfortable and excellent value for money. The breakfast is very good, especially the fresh fruit salad. The eggs could be cooked a couple more minutes.
−The slightly snotty eggs.

“Lovely stay, great hosts”
+Wonderfully welcoming and responsive hosts, a great view out to sea from my room, good location for walking from the ferry, for local shops, to the castle, Lamlash etc, tea and coffee in the room and a great breakfast
−Everything was great except the bed. I would have loved a mattress topper. I used the extra duvet as a topper which helped.
