10.0+Everything! Very pretty and well-tended garden. Immaculate rooms and dining area. The hosts were friendly and professional. I felt they went above and beyond to ensure guests had a great stay. Fab choice of breakfasts, including special diets. I'm lactose intolerant and there were alternative options for milk in porridge, hot drinks and spread for toast. Perfect location for Shanklin Chine, Old Village, Shanklin Beach etc. We don't drive and got round loads of the island by bus and some by train (including steam train!). Had a brilliant time celebrating my mum's 75th birthday here, and using it as a base to explore other parts of the island. Would definitely recommend this place!
−No complaints at all.

9.0“Comfortable and quiet guest house with lovely garden”
+Hosts went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. For example at breakfast I asked if there was any natural yoghurt available. Then everyday of my stay there was a dish of natural yoghurt ready for me in the yoghurt fridge. The poached eggs were the nicest I have had. My room was very spacious and spotlessly clean with lots of storage space. As an added bonus a red squirrel visited the bird table while I was eating breakfast. I stay on the IOW often to visit family. Bedford lodge will be my first choice from now on.
−Only a tiny thing, I would prefer to have breakfast earlier than 8:30. (Times are 8:30 - 10)

9.0“Wonderful staff, great breakfast the whole building was clean as a whistle.”
+Lovely friendly welcome from the owner and all the staff. The whole place was spotless with seemingly new carpets throughout. The breakfast was wonderful.
−I think next time we’ll pay a little more for a bigger room. We had the smallest. It was lovely but a wee bit tight for us and our luggage.

10.0“A very relaxing break , conveniently situated for bars and restaurants.”
+Lovely 19th century property , very clean and comfortable , great rooms . Gilly, Gary and staff were very welcoming and go out of their way to make their home feel like your home. Whilst they don’t do evening meals the breakfasts are amazing. You help yourself to cereals, fruit, yogurt, juice etc , and order hot food from the menu. ‘’ specials’’ were omelettes or scrambled egg on muffins with smoked salmon. Endless tea/coffee and toast , and no rush to get you out of the breakfast room. Bedford Lodge is set in beautiful gardens and you are welcome to sit and relax , or even have a takeaway on the table or benches . There is an honesty bar , which is great if you fancy a nightcap.
−Temperatures this week were very high and unfortunately they had run out of portable fans . Otherwise we had no complaints with the room , which was decorated to a high standard.
