“There were a few issues”
+Price
−While outside temperature was 10 C, our room was extremely overheated with hot air still blowing from a broken ceiling vent when we came back to the room after 9pm. Room window could only be slightly opened due to a chain. Impossible to sleep under such a condition. On advice of owner Magdalena, we switched off the heating system of the premise (she blamed another guests having it set up too high) and also opened our room door as well as the house door to bring room temperature down as also suggested by Magdalena. Another issue: Our room could not be locked due to lack of door lock. With another occupied guest room just opposite of our room and no house manager present in the premise, we did not feel safe during our stay. We informed the landlord at 8am next morning that we would not stay the second booked night and moved out soon after. We asked for a refund of the unused night. Refund was refused. While Magdalena showed some empathy to our situation in a late evening message "Hopefully you could cool the room down with the fan and by opening the outside door, now that the thermostat of the heater is switched off, I hope you have a good night sleep", her message tone changed when

“The host has worked out a defence, refuse to address security n privacy (there were past complaints)”
+The place was nice but I left the place five minutes after I arrived. I didn’t have time to put down what I like because the room I booked cannot give me privacy and security, which is a basic requirement.
−The room has NO lock. The place advertised as a shared location but I booked a room (written facilities stated both toilet and shared toilet - you would assumed you hv some non-shared facilities). Pls see photo of booking.com page Queen Room w garden view. Minimally there should be a lock to my room for my own privacy or security. I booked the room, which should not be a shared facility where other strangers can come in. There were other people in the house but they are total strangers to me. I left within 5 mins of arrival without meeting the host and, without touching the room once I see there is no lock. When I contacted the host - he/she confirmed that there is no lock but also refused to refund, despite my room is one of the two rooms that are empty (in other words, the host didn’t turn away anyone on my account). Pls book at your own risk. I booked a room, not a bed in a dorm. Normal regards will assume a room has a lock. The host has plenty of chance to put a lock since the first feedback (I saw people commenting in past feedback). I wondered why the host chose not to do this.

+The house and room were beautiful, everything was clean and nicely prepared. Communication with Magdalena was great. You can also do your laundry which is nice.
−Our room didn’t have a lock on the door. We didn’t mind it that much but it wouldn’t be bad to have one.
