+Food looked good although I didn't eat.
−Couldn't get any hot water out of the shower. Shower pipe was mouldy. Toilet was dripping constantly.

“Remote but Refreshing”
+I was disappointed that no breakfast was offered on the days we were there and that the kitchen had already closed at 8:30 when we checked in. But our dinner was delicious on night two. The staff was very helpful when I went in later to take dessert up to our room. Parking was available just across the street. The shower was larger than most as was the room itself.

+The room was not En-suite and was small. Definitely not worth the €152 that I paid for it. The food was not great either!

+We loved everything about this place. The peaceful location, and all the lovely welcoming staff set the scene. Our room was beautifully and tastefully appointed in an old-fashioned traditional cottage style that made me nostalgic for a relatives home I stayed in as a child. The mattress and pillows were ever so comfortable. It didn't feel like a hotel room - we were as comfortable as if we were in our own home. We had dinner in the pub and it was delicious. We enjoyed some pleasant conversation with the locals over a drink. From reading reviews before we booked, we were expecting a shared bathroom, so it was a very pleasant surprise to discover a brand new ensuite bathroom installed in our room. It was a very tiny ensuite, but the craftsmanship and finish was excellent and in keeping with the traditional decor of the room.and great that it was private for ourselves.
−We really did like everything and have nothing to complain about. Yes it was true that there was loud music coming from a speaker just outside the room all evening long, but it stopped when the bar closed. When I wanted a quiet evening, I found I could enjoy the comfortable room with the TV on and not hear the music, and I used earplugs when I wanted to go to sleep. The ensuite was brand new and I don't think they had time to complete all the finishing touches before we arrived. The craftsmanship and cleaning was completed to a very high standard - what remained to be done was the following:- screw the shampoo/conditioner dispenser to the shower wall, provide another dispenser at the sink (or a shelf with soap dish satchets ), a rail or hook to hang the hand towel, a toilet roll holder and a knob on the inside of the ensuite door to help open the sliding door from the ininside. Given the attention to detail everywhere else, I am confident all of these will be done very soon.

“Good value for money”
+Very comfortable bed.
−Loud music outside the room window being played on loudspeakers into the outdoor seating area. I was able to close that window and open another at the back of the room to allow in some air as it was very warm. Not having an ensuite was somewhat inconvenient but I appreciate that it's an old building so probably not realistic to do this in the building.

“Quirky but noisy”
+Loved the quirky style and the fact that we had a living room/kitchen area, and the bed was clean and comfy
−The steps up to the room are very narrow and steep, not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned before our arrival. There was a used bar of soap left in the shower and less than a half a roll of toilet paper. Also, it's above the bar with a speaker right outside the bedroom window, so sleep was difficult! Also for the money we paid we would have expected breakfast to be included.

“Never going back, need to rewrite you advertising as not what we got, I actually think we should get our money refunded!”
+The food & staff were great, the mattress were incredible comfortable , the corner store had amazing food
−The rooms we incredibly outdated, no privacy or sound proofing. We left after one day as this was nothing like what was advertised!!!! No one got any sleep as the noise from the room next door sounded like it was in the room with us !!!Our stairs to our room was outside & incredibly steep, one of our rooms were ment to be deluxe ( it was not) the decor was from 1960/70 and looked like that’s were it last had anything done. Very very very disappointing.
