6.0“Good value for money, but not ideal”
+Very good value for money. Spacious room, with a comfortable bed. Cleaning topped up and towels changed everyday. Good sized bathroom. Massive tv with all of the streaming apps. Close proximity to buses was handy if they were more reliable. Area, primarily hasidic felt very safe. Supermarket on the corner was very well stocked and open late.
−Lift was never fixed, despite being reassured it will be during check-in. Had to go 5 flights of stairs to reach our room everyday. Room was ok, but everything seemed dated. There was a leak at one point on the ceiling and the cover-up was done very poorly. Kitchen was equipped very poorly too- no utensils, or plates, only one mug for a 2-person room. 1 out of 2 door cards never worked- luckily took both each time and did not have to go downstairs so many floors of stairs to get a working one. Random locations of plug sockets. No kitchen bin. Sound proofing of the room wasn’t great. Could hear everything from the corridor and the nearby rooms. Location was difficult at times, as the local buses sometimes just wouldn’t arrive.

7.0“Decent Place in Williamsburg”
+Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. Location was ideal for what we needed in terms of access to Williamsburg
−Elevator was broken which was very challenging. Any time we wanted to leave the hotel we had to go down 5 flights of stairs. There was only one nightstand for a king bed, which was also difficult

6.0“It was a place to lay our heads. It was affordable”
+I like that there were 2 beds and a kitchenettes. This included a microwave, sink and a fridge.
−The hotel is in a nice neighborhood and conveniently located near a bus stop, which made getting around easier. The staff were also nice and pleasant. However, the facility is on the older side, and you can definitely feel the age of the hotel. The bathtub was old and creaked when we used it, and the water took a long time to heat up. The toilet also had issues flushing properly and needed time for the water to refill before it could be used again. The walls were quite thin, so we could hear people talking in the hallway from inside our room. When I tried to call the front desk using the room phone, it wasn’t connected. On the second day of our stay, the elevator stopped working, and we had to carry our suitcases downstairs. Overall, while the location was convenient and the staff were nice, the facilities and maintenance could use some improvement. Personally, I wouldn’t stay here again.

9.0“Fantastic”
+Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews, we had no complaints about our stay. Room was comfortable, clean and staff were friendly.
−Only complaints would be the location as it’s about the location as it was a 20 minute walk to the nearest subway, although we didn’t mind!

6.0“Clean and fine for a two night stay but very poor business practice.”
+The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, which at $450/night should be expected
−Upon arriving early we waited several hours. Despite being told ahead of time that early check-in was 'subject to availability', at noon we were told our room was ready but it would be $50 to ck-in early. When we pushed back saying it was clearly a money grab we were told it needed to be kept open for someone who was willing to pay the extra $50. The pictures are misleading. The elevator was broken when we arrived and had to carry luggage up three floors. It was working the next day. Window faced a brick wall. AC worked but was very loud. Location not ideal but felt safe.

2.0“This stay was aweful! Poorly managed hotel!”
+Mini kitchen was convenient. But they did not provided anything to clean or even two tea cups, just one.
−The hotel was unkempt and way overpriced even at the Booking rate. They didn’t vacuum the carpet - I have video of visible debris on the floor including a toenail and hoop nose ring. Yes I asked for housekeeping immediately! Pillows had stains on them and all bed linen were badly wrinkled- try a cleaning service. I asked for clean sheets and put them on myself unsure if they’d changed them. Getting the sheets took 4 calls, 2 in person Reminders and talking to housekeeper in the hall. The keys constantly loose their connection. When I asked if it happens often because I saw 2 other residents asking for resets, the front desk staff said yes, you should stop here every time you come in to reset it. The elevator was broken by another guest when I came in on my last night. The repair men were there at 7/8pm but by the next morning it had not been repaired and i had to lug my luggage downstairs too. Did I mention I was on the top. They don’t give refunds so I could not really just get another hotel. This was my first and last stay at Aura in NY. It’s like a corner motel. Booking should not associate with this chain.

9.0“Perfect hotel”
+The bedroom was great! The bed was huge! And the tv too, everything was super clean and comfortable
−The elevator was broken. But that is the only thing and it would be super nice if they serve breakfast, cause there is not so many coffee shops around.
