“Great location to explore key sights in Singapore”
+Convenient location for seeing the main sights, trying the local hawker markets and transport links. Bunks were a really good size with space for personal belongings and a very generous locker. The ladder to the top bunk was a bit tricky!! The wristband key fob system was so easy - opened doors and locker in one. No keys to lose! Nice to have a breakfast included. Best thing was Dean and the WhatApp group info provided - brilliant tips and tours offered, though unfortunately I wasn't around for the free local food tour
−Not enough bathrooms for the number of guests sharing the dorms. No space for placing suitcases - large cardboard boxes occupied a space at the end of the bunks, which could perhaps have been ideal for suitcases?

+The location is perfect! And the staff so kind, friendly and helpful
−The hostel is quite overcrowded, with around 16 beds in one room, which makes it feel very cramped. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an option to book a room with fewer people. Another downside is that you can constantly hear the room door opening and closing throughout the night, making it difficult to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Another small downside was that breakfast starts quite late, at 8 AM, which wasn’t convenient for guests with early morning flights. To be fair, the staff kindly offered me orange juice and a croissant to take away, which I appreciated! However, as a coffee lover, I have to say that coffee is non-negotiable for me lol ☕😂 It would be great if an earlier breakfast option or at least takeaway coffee were available for guests leaving early.

“A comfortable, thoughtfully designed hostel with welcoming staff and great amenities”
+My stay at Atelier was quite pleasant, and the experience started on a good note with the staff warmly welcoming me and showing me around the property when I arrived. The staff were lovely throughout my stay and always greeted me with a smile whenever I left or returned, which made the place feel welcoming. The location was another big plus, with the hostel conveniently situated right next to Chinatown and Maxwell, so there were plenty of places to eat, shop and explore within easy reach. The first thing I noticed about the property itself was how thoughtfully the space was set up, with pretty much every amenity you could think of, including laundry facilities, an iron, water filters and plenty of plug points. The bunks were particularly well designed, with a spacious locker that could easily fit a full backpack along with extra clothing, as well as a generous ledge beside the bed for all the little things you need to keep within reach. There were also several nicely decorated common areas dotted around the property where you could sit back and relax. The complimentary breakfast was another nice touch and made for a pleasant start to the day. Overall, the hostel felt thoughtfully d
−A couple of small things could make the stay even better. The bathrooms could benefit from a slightly different layout, as having the shower and toilet in the same room meant the floor was often wet. I also felt that the dorms and bathrooms could use a little more frequent cleaning, as I sometimes noticed hair on the floors. The complimentary breakfast was nice, and having a few more options to choose from would be a welcome addition. These are all relatively minor things, and addressing them would make an already pleasant stay even better.
