+Central and good value
−5th floor no lift, half the staff were miserable and I had to share a room with some people who were on there phone all through the night being loud and coming and going through the balcony door to smoke at all hours which wasn’t the hostels fault but sullied my stay

+Female toilets were clean, and the kitchen was there
−The room was a corridor to the smoking area, operating throughout the night. It was like living inside an ashtray. No respect for people sleeping, people talking throughout the night and turning the light on.

+The dining room is pleasant and spacious, with plenty of storage , that's the only good surprise.
−The staff is everywhere, constantly on your back. You can't have a beer with your meal. You can't walk from the dorm to the bathroom shirtless. In a single night, the front-desk person came to tell me what to do three times. There's even a camera inside the bedroom. Yes, you read that right: you're being filmed in your own dorm. You never feel alone for a second , that permanent, creeping feeling of being watched kills any chance of relaxing, chatting, or connecting with other backpackers. A hostel is supposed to be about meeting people; here, the constant hovering and spying make any real social interaction impossible. I picked this hostel because their website explicitly stated they accept international credit cards. On arrival, they demanded cash , no cards accepted. That's false advertising, and under Armenian law it's illegal: advertising credit card payment when it's not accepted is punishable by a 300,000-dram fine. My first night, the moment I walked back in from dinner, I was asked whether I had the cash , before I could even put my bag down. One staff member sleeps in a dorm and talks loudly on the phone for hours in the evening, playing and answering voice messages on sp
