+The hotel has a great view and an excellent location near the center of Rethymno (20 mins walk). We appreciated the early check-in and the manager’s receptiveness.
−The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. Two out of the three rooms we booked were very old, and the newer room had constantly wet floors, creating a serious slipping hazard. We also had to change our initially assigned room because of an unpleasant smell and stained bed sheets. Unfortunately, even after changing rooms, the smell persisted on the balcony. Overall, many things seemed old, worn out, or rusty. The service was another letdown. While the manager was receptive, the receptionist came across as dismissive, and the breakfast staff were not particularly welcoming either. A smile or a more friendly attitude would have made a difference. Breakfast was mediocre, and the breakfast room was small enough that we had to wait for a table. There was only one espresso machine, which resulted in a long queue and made the experience unnecessarily frustrating. Although the location and view were positive aspects, they were not enough to make up for the condition of the rooms, cleanliness issues, breakfast experience, and lack of welcoming service. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

“Great location for visiting Rethymno”
+Very nice location within walking distance to the old town of Rethymno. Very nice view on the sea from the balcony. Very cost effective location and offering.
−We thought we would have two extra beds (proper beds) but one was a converted sofa and the other was a camp bed. Also it meant that all space was taken up by beds and didn't leave any living room. There was water in the room after the super heavy rainfall, which was "fixed" by putting towels on the floor The breakfast - although highly rated - we didn't find that great. If you were late (but still within breakfast hours) the choices were halved, and sometimes dishes and glasses were missing. It seemed the facility was not prepared for the amount of guests they had.

+The hotel was even better in person than it looked on the website! Everything was spotless, modern, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel!

−Que en la descripcion decia que nuestra habitacion tenia 1 cama doble y dos camas individuales, cuando llegamos habia un sofa cama en vez de las dos camas individuales. El hotel lo resolvió muy bien y nos dieron dos habitaciones

+Die Lage ist optimal, um die Stadt zu besichtigen, ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß oder gratis mit einem E-Stadtbus, ein großer Einkaufsmarkt ist ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, auch eine Station des Hope On/Hope Off Busses ist nicht weit entfernt. Das einzige Manko ist der Strand, der entspricht nicht den Eindrücken, die die Fotos vermitteln, ist eine ganz kleine Bucht in Mitten der Stadt, umgeben von Parkplätzen und Straßen und nicht sehr sauber, daher nicht sehr einladend für einen Badeurlaub. Das Personal war extrem zuvorkommend.
