“Good stay”

“Bedbugs, ants and money gready”
+The location is good right on the beach but far from town and restaurants.
−Bedbugs! First room was full of ants and we woke up and found bedbugs in the bed. Changed to second room next day. After 1 minute search found a couple more bedbugs. They don't seem to take it seriously how bad bedbugs are so I would stay away. We planed on staying but had to leave after this. They only have 3 room and we tried 2 both with bedbugs. A bit surprised that they wanted full payment for the night we stayed with no discount for the bad experience. The driver they sent (family member) also tried to get more money from us when picking us up from the airport. Just use Uber. Tried Uber in all of Sri Lanka it just works. It's 50/50 when you book with local people. They almost always want more money and try to scam you.

“I would never stay here again. It looks nothing like the photos on booking.com”

−It was dirty. The towels and the beddings were yellow stained. The whole place looked very dated and neglected, nothing like the photos in your website. The mat in front of the bathroom was dirty, lots of creatures underneath the bed. The breakfast area was poorly maintained. The whole place looked dirty

The beach is just a short walk away, giving the feeling of having a private seaside retreat all to yourself. A special appreciation goes to Ms. Shashi, our host, who made our stay truly comfortable. From the moment of booking, she maintained great communication, ensuring everything was ready for our arrival. Upon check-in, she personally guided us to the rooms, took note of our breakfast preferences, and made thoughtful arrangements so we could enjoy the morning meal while overlooking the sea. Her kindness and attention to detail created a warm and welcoming experience. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic stay by the beach with personalized hospitality, Arcade Beach Hotel is a wonderful choice. Highly recommended!

“Exceptional”
+The hotel owner was unbelievable, could not do enough for me and extremely welcoming. I felt like part of her family. Also the breakfast was different every day and the owner set up a table in front of the ocean, which was perfect!

“Superb”
+Fabulous location right on a quiet, long stretch of beach. Room was big & clean, and had a sea view. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Shashi was a great host, providing delicious breakfasts every morning, and helping out with tours etc. Great value for money, would recommend!
