+I loved that I was able to get into my room 3 hours earlier as I was exhausted
−No-one was on the desk when I arrived, even though I had advised 11am. I had to ring the main number and wait for them to find the person to come down to reception. There was no tea towel in the room, so i had to use the hand towel from the bathroom to put under the dishrack when washing up dishes.

+Location to chinatown food variety and how it connects to Darling Harbour, just the perfect area that connects these areas on foot.
−A few things and obviously the owner would not be aware of, cleaners would not make a note of; Minor fridge door adjustment, and the freezer compartment door was missing, the freezer had iced up, i had to de-ice the compartment and clean the water spill. Microwave oven rusting inner case. TV connection lead is not correct causing intermittant channel signals, the fold out sofa bed support rails are bent making the bed uncomfortable.

+Awesome location. Very clean, very spacious room. Lovely balcony. Parking at the door.
−Having parking at the hotel was incredibly convenient, but also very stressful to find. The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street with "access to residents". Once we finally found the entry to the hotel we were given access to the parking. This is situated in an unmarked driveway near the hotel entrance. This a could be better communicated.

“Budget stay in Darling Harbour”
+Close to entertainment hub of Darling Harbour. Easy to get to by public transport.
−The bathroom is due for a refit. Lots of peeling paint from the moisture and what looked to be mould on tiles.

“APX Darling Harbour 8 Dixon Street Sydney”
+Location
−Initial room booked was well below what we were expecting,( having been offered an alternative to our initial allocated room, the receptionist offered the same room but with a courtyard, this was equipped with a table which was falling to pieces and to rather shabby looking chairs) we didnt have a good look around as we needed to eat and went straight out, it was only on our return, and after closer inspection realised how bad the alternative room was, furniture was dirty and torn, blanket in wardrobe was dirty and what looked like a blood stain on it, also top bed sheet had a rip on it, there was dust and dirt evident on table, tv unit and over most plug sockets and thick dust over door opening mechanism, we refused room, on the basis of its poor cleanliness, my partner felt very uncomfortable in the apartment, but we had to use it for 1st night, as no one at the apartment reception could authorise an alternative until the following morning.
