“Appley Lodge ticks all the boxes for a wonderful stay in Shanklin.”
+What a great few days we had at Appley Lodge. From the moment we booked until the end of our stay, our host Wendy really couldn't have done any more for us. She took care of our ferry booking at a discounted rate and we knew that she was very efficient, but she really came into her own once we arrived. Hospitality is all about looking after your guests and Wendy not only greeted us with genuine warmth when we arrived, she continued to be so charming, courteous and helpful throughout our stay. We had a lovely comfortable spacious room with good facilities and the bonus of a small fridge, which was very welcome during the heatwave we experienced. Wendy was also able to instantly provide us with a fan on request. There were lots of little personal touches, which make a real difference when it comes to hospitality. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked, with everything you would expect. Tea and coffee were also freshly brewed. We had parking immediately outside the B&B and there is a delightful patio area at the front of the hotel, which was perfect for enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. “Great place to stay”
+Friendly staff, full English breakfast freshly made to order, convenient for the beach, buses and train as well as some lovely restaurants. Had a verandah in the front which looked lovely but I didn't use it because the weather wasn't right.

“Excellent location and breakfast”
+Everything was great! Excellent location in a beautiful and quiet area of Shanklin, relatively close to the beach. Freshly made breakfast, excellent bed mattress, and the host, Wendy, is absolutely lovely.
−If I were to choose 1 aspect that could be improved is the bathroom tap - it should be updated to the single tap, rather than the outdated double tap - I find it unhygienic to wash in the basin.

“Enjoyable Stay”
+It is a family run lodge. They are very friendly, helpful and provide with useful information and advice in visiting the scenic spots. The lodge is well kept and there is a good breakfast choices to give a kick-start. It is nearby the cliff lift leading to the esplanade, which is magnificent.
