“Misleading information”
+Check-in was easy and the room was clean and ready.
−We were making a road trip across the country to move, and we were going with our two cats. We chose this inn specifically because it said pet friendly and had reviews and FAQ to back it up. Apparently that information is woefully out of date as when I checked in, the check-in paperwork had a clause about no pets, threatening a $250 fee for undisclosed pets. Since this inn has no official website, only various booking sites, I had no way to verify with a more central source that the Booking.com info was not up to date. I didn't have any other issues, but since I was there so briefly it is entirely possible that other statements the inn advertises online are simply untrue. If anything is important for your stay, call the establishment to make sure, or just go somewhere else. Don't come here with your pets.

“Fairly comfortable and affordable”

−Complimentary breakfast was minimal at best. Tobacco smell in the bathroom and outside the room. Complimentary coffee machine did not function well.

+That there was availability. This was the 4th of July in a small tourist town. Hahaha.
−It was super expensive, but then again it was last minute on the 4th of July weekend in a small tourist town that was doing Revolutionary War enactments. So.. not unexpected. What was unexpected was the poor wifi. The signal strength was good, but it kept dropping the connection to the provider. And when it did work it was slow, worse, this is in a location with poor cell coverage, so, Verizon couldn't really help.

“Old school, great value. Would stay again.”
+Large, super clean room with all appliances and furniture seating options. Comfortable bed, good shower, black out window shades. Old school-style roadside motel with parking, helpful owners on premises and quiet heater in cold weather months AND windows that operate to let in fresh air. Convenient location. Choice of gas, restaurants, coffee and groceries nearby. Don't be put off by the eclectic decor and old style bathroom--all worked great! Great value for the price.
−There was a little traffic noise but the heater was quiet and the bed so comfy and room so dark I had no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was no frills but included fresh fruit, a bonus!

+Front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. Super retro cozy vibe was a great value for the price. Loved getting to park right in front of our room and come and go as we please. Will definitely stay for my next Elko trip.

−The external concrete stairs have probably been that way since the initial construction, could use a hand rail at some convenient point if feasible. possibly more caution signs/markers.
