“Amazing historic location close enough to all the interesting parts.”
+Absolutely superb in every way. Just loved the experience it such an old and historic place. Ana was a delight and so helpful. The section was loverly.

“Wonderful, huge, historic, and not your usual kind of place.”
+This is a fabulous, unusual luxury apartment that feels special. It has a disheveled elegance (and it is HUGE) that was a delightful change from cookie cutter places.
−The bathroom for one of the bedrooms is tiny, and it was hot (but we were able to get a fan). There was loud student noise at 6 AM.

+Coimbra's historic old town and university were the main reasons for visiting. With its character and prominent location, Alto Canto is perfect on both counts. A hearty breakfast set me for the day as did the helpful recommendations that guided me to places I would not have otherwise gone to. Great communication throughout a bonus.
−For the environmentally conscious traveller, some recycling bins on site are appreciated as they are hard to find in town. The mini bar in the room will be an excellent way of promoting Portugal's wonderful food and drink. Thank you.

“An incredible place in a great location”
+The location was amazing - right by the University and the two restaurants we had selected were 5 minutes walk. The view is incredible and the building itself is so unique - first place we have stayed with a ballroom !

“Unique experience”
+Great location to university visit. Excellent host and breakfast. Rooms and beds are comfy. Terrace views are beautiful. The experience is one of a kind.
−Scent/smell of certain rooms can be improved - probably through use of organic scents or plants (e.g lavender). Kids did catch a cockroach in their room, so house cleanness can also be improved.

“Excelente”
+Fiquei hospedada por 2 dias em um quarto neste local e o atendimento foi sensacional. A anfitriã Ana é super hospitaleira, gentil, atenciosa, prestativa e simpática. Me ajudou em tudo o que precisei e preparou todo o café da manhã com muito carinho. O local é surreal! Você fica dentro de uma residência tipicamente portuguesa, com uma paisagem linda vista de pertinho, e tem a experiência de morar numa casa portuguesa de verdade. O ambiente é limpo, tranquilo e aconchegante, e o quarto é surreal, muito bom. Super recomendo! Nas próximas vezes que voltar a Coimbra, com certeza vou querer ficar hospedada aqui novamente.

+Einfach außergewöhnlich! Schönes großes Schlafzimmer und ein historischer Raum mit Blick auf den Fluss. Gleich in der Nähe der Universität. Und eine sehr nette Wirtin.

+Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden und Essen zu gehen. In der Straße und auf der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Überblick über den Fluss und das gegenüber liegende Ufer. Die Parkplatzsituation in der Stadt ist etwas schwierig. Ana ist eine herausragende, sehr sympathische und empathische Gastgeberin. Da ich kein Gluten und auch keine Lactose vertrage (Unverträglichkeit) hat sich Ana sehr gewissenhaft die Mühe gemacht, geeignete Lebensmittel zu organisieren. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

“Top Lage aber für ältere Gäste nur bedingt empfehlenswert”
+Die Lage ist unübertroffen gut und Ana ist eine sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin.
−Es ist halt kein Hotel und von daher ist mit gewissen Einschränkungen zu leben. Die Wohnung ist riesig aber in einem alten Gebäude ohne Lift und das Bad ist winzig. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind extrem eingeschränkt. Falls man überhaupt einen Parkplatz in der sehr engen Strasse findet, darf man dort offiziell nur maximal 6 Stunden für ca. 5 Euro stehen bleiben.
