+Clean and recently updated rooms. Plunger coffee not just instant coffee which was nice. They had Tupperware containers in the kitchenette which was great as we brought a packed lunch on our hike which otherwise would have been squashed in our backpacks! Walking distance from the local pub which had a nice vibe. Great view of the mountains when the weather was clear.
−The room has a fair amount of light coming in at night due to a balcony light, I wore a sleeping mask and it was fine. Didn’t have too much noise from the road but you could hear the neighbours - owners provided ear buds but we didn’t need to use them.

“Excellent.”
+The owner is really easy to deal with, and the level of trust he has in his guests is incredibly high. He’s just so chill about it, he simply asks, “What’s your name?” And that’s it. No ID, no credit card information, nothing else. Just your name, and you’re good to go.
−A bidet! A bidet is a must for all hotels, chalets, and motels here in NZ.

+We got upgraded to the new renovated room it was very spacious. Good location for food and grocery considering your in middle of nowhere or closest town. All walking distance fro the hotel
−Its not a dislike , unsure what the plans for renovation and facilities or maybe there is already a BBQ or some cooking facility outside, and considering the cold a small sauna or a spa pool would add a lot of value these are just improvement ideas not a must
