+The location is excellent. Very close to bus station and train station. Shops, cafes and restaurants were at a walking distance.

“Customer Service is subpar”
−The customer service is very poor. I had to ask the host to please give me the entry code to the place 1 hour before check in. They simply forgot. No shower gel or soap provided. When asked they simply stated it’s not part of their amenities. After the stay I was asked to make another payment, even though I already paid. Booking was no help. I would not recommend staying here. You will get more problems than it’s worth.

“Excellent location”
+Clean and very comfortable. I had a room at the back so no traffic noise to disturb sleep. Hospitality tray refilled and waste bin emptied daily. Very close to the station where most buses leave from for other lake district locations if you don't have the use of a car or prefer to leave the driving on little country roads to the professionals! Many shops, restaurants and an excellent supermarket close by. On my day of departure it was raining VERY heavily and my train did not leave till lunchtime. Michelle very kindly allowed me to keep dry in the downstairs lounge for a couple of hours rather than tramp the streets with my luggage getting very soggy indeed. Lifesaver 😁👍 Would not hesitate to recommend and would definately stay again!
−Nothing really to criticise. The stairs are steep and quite narrow but that's not criticism; its to be expected in a cottage of this age which weren't built for people with large suitcases 🤷♀️

“Great!”
+The room was great! Very comfortable with four pillows, tea/coffee, and two clean white towels provided. The ensuite bathroom was a little small but the sink was separate within the room itself which personally I liked. The location was super close to both the train station and the Windermere city center.
−The bathroom was a little small, but it was manageable. My room was also above a main road with a large window, which meant it was a bit loud at night with passing cars if I kept the window open for cooler air, and I had to keep the curtains closed a lot of the time as I didn't want to be seen by the people in the restaurant opposite, but these were personal choices.

+Das Zimmer war klein aber fein. Das Bett war gemütlich und der Ausblick vom Bett direkt durch das Dachfenster in den Himmel war toll. In der Nähe waren der Bahnhof, Booths und eine Bushaltestelle, also alles was ein fleißiger Wanderer braucht. Unten im Eingangsbereich findet sich eine Art Wohnzimmer mit Sofa und Sesseln, sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
−Die Dusche wies bei Ankunft Schuhabdrücke auf, mit der Brause waren diese aber schnell weggespült.
