“Historical apartment in fabulous location”
+It was a treat to stay in this lovingly decorated spacious home that has stayed true to its 1800’s heritage. It is perfectly located for sightseeing being right opposite the Teatro, and close to great restaurants. Gabriella was a gracious host and made us feel very welcome.

+It is a heritage building built in 1880. The location is right in front of the theatre. The airport shuttle bus stop is just a few minutes walk away. The place has no lift and is on the third floor.

“Fantastic location, great host, lovely room, shower and stairs were low points”
+Location was excellent. Host was lovely. Rooms were gorgeous.
−Stairs were annoying even though I knew when I booked. Cold water in the shower for a whole day. Shower cubicle was horrendous.

“Can't get enough of the frescoes”
+Excellent stay at Al Massimo Piacere. Beautiful frescoes on ceilings and gorgeous marble floors. Furniture is comfortable and many period pieces. We were well aware that this is a 3rd floor walk up and enjoyed the views from this location. If you can't do 3 flights off stairs and bring your luggage, don't stay here. If you want modern, don't stay here. This apartment was built in the 1860's. Cafes at the entrance, shopping steps away.
−Nothing, it was wonderful.

“A journey back in time (with A/C)”
+The location is obviously fantastic, there’s probably nothing better in the whole of Palermo! The house is beautifully furnished, looks painfully restored with aim at preserving the traditional features of the building. The rooms are simply fabulous - you could literally pretend like you’ve traveled back in time (except with A/C 😁). They’re also very spacious, well insulated from the street below and with plenty of storage. The real gem of this stay is the host though; she can surely make visitors feel welcome! And hearing her (a former art history professor) talk about her place with pride is a joy. On a practical level, a secure parking garage is very close and easy to reach. WiFi is reliable, and you have access to the apartment’s kitchen if you feel like making yourself a coffee or a simple meal.
−Gabriella, provide the rooms with more than one roll of toilet paper for bookings longer than one night, please 😂

“Absolutely charming!!!”
+It was so central and across the road from Teatro Massimo. Rooms were huge and clean and everything was perfect for my husband and adult son staying there for a few nights. Would highly recommend this apartment to book for your stay in Palermo.
−The stairs leading up to the apartment were steep and a lot of stairs. Definitely not for the faint hearted or elderly people with any disability.

“A fantastic stay in a central location”
+The location was amazing, and the property was stunning. The host Gabriella was so helpful and gave recommendations on where to go/eat.
−The automatic light in the bathroom, it was too bright for the middle of the night.

“Would love to stay again.”
+Unbeatable location. Large and very comfortable space. Quiet. Very good communication from helpful host.
−The bathroom was adequate. There are several stairs leading to the property which were not a problem but could be for some people.
