“An oasis of calm”
+Very helpful and welcoming hosts. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, comfortable and simple. The lounge and balcony area is just for guests, and is relaxing with lots of openable windows and nice views (including monkeys walking along the balcony rail at times). I found it a very tranquil and relaxing place, which was great.
−It's in a hilly area with few shops and probably no restaurants nearby. You can walk to town in about 20 minutes, or get a tuktuk for US$1 (less with Uber, but I didn't try them). That's the downside of the tranquillity, but I thought it was an ok tradeoff.

“Great stay with a view”
+The hosts were incredibly kind and had great recommendations for the area around. Also the big Buddha statue was very close by so that we could walk there. The room was nicely furnished and we had a really nice view from the balcony.
−Unfortunately there was very little space for storage which was hard as we were a group of three and all of our stuff was laying around the room. We were also charged slightly more than it was shown on our booking app because their booking app has shown a different price than ours.

+Very nice, clean and quiet place, except the birds concert in the morning😘 The rooms are spacious, nice and clever styled. There is a small room between the bedroom and the bathroom, i find it clever. The family is super nice and helpful

+The house has a serene atmosphere, with absolutely clean and spacious rooms. Perched on a hill and surrounded by lush trees, the air is fresh and invigorating. It truly feels like your own home. The owner is very helpful and attends to your needs immediately,just ask and he will arrange it. They completely respect your privacy, and you can feel assured of your safety at all times.
−There is truly nothing to complain about when you’re paying a reasonable price for such comfort and warmth. The accommodation offers the feeling of luxury without being over the top, and the care from the host makes it even more special. For what you receive,spacious rooms, cleanliness, attentive service, and a serene environment,you’re getting far more value than expected. It’s the kind of stay where you simply relax, enjoy, and feel grateful.

“Superb”
+Hosts are lovely, it's a bit like staying at your granny's. Rooms are basic but good size and clean, as well as the attached bathroom. Common area is very nice and also spotless clean. Great big terrace overlooking the surrounding hills. They offer laundry service which was a big plus for us.
−The location is up a steep hill which makes it pretty hard to walk up every time which we usually do mostly. The area itself is local and friendly while barking dogs at night may be a bit annoying. Our bed was pretty short and small for a twin bed, so we hung a bit above the edges and couldn't use the provided mosquito net which we would have needed. Maybe rooms are different, so you might check this upfront if you're not both short and slim. If you don't thise points, it's a great deal and you're definitely supporting the right people with your booking.

+The room was so bright and spacious. Really comfy beds and lovely bathroom. A balcony runs alongside the room and gives spectacular views of Kandy.

“Beautiful home stay!”
+We stayed four nights at this lovely home stay. It’s in a great location only a short walk into the city. The views from the balcony were stunning and the whole place was extremely clean. We opted for the bigger room and it was so lovely and bright. This was my favourite place we stayed over our 3weeks in Sri Lanka, The family that own the property are so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend🤩
