“Beautifully updated 100+ yr old family guesthouse in the heart of a quaint village”
+Beautiful family run guest house in small rural village overlooking towers of Ushguli. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and the food is fantastic. Owners shared their homemade cha cha with us, and had wines from around Georgia for sale. It’s in a village with cows and friendly Georgian dogs, fantastic food, comfortable rooms - we absolutely loved our two-night stay!

“Beautiful stay in a rural village”
+We loved Agra. We stayed for two nights in one of the rooms with plywood walls and it was so beautiful, light filled, and had a lovely view. The food was AMAZING, seriously even if you can’t get a room go eat there. The hosts were so so nice and welcoming and we felt immediately at home after long travels. We loved their dogs Rosie and Bootsky :) can’t recommend enough!

−For the price having a single shared bathroom for all rooms and not including breakfast we felt the price was too high. For breakfast and a coffee budget €10-15/per person per day.

“Warm, cozy and a wonderful experience in Ushguli”
+I felt very comfortable and welcome during my stay. The room was spacious, warm and cozy, with beautiful views, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely, incredibly kind, friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed. The food was an experience in itself: delicious, homemade and one of the highlights of my stay. A wonderful place to stay in Ushguli, and I would happily come back.

“A basic, functional guesthouse with a lovely restaurant but an unpleasant staff member”
+A basic, functional guesthouse with a lovely restaurant The room was basic but clean, with heating that was very welcome after a cold day. The shared bathroom, which we knew about beforehand, was also very clean. Dinner was genuinely delicious, and breakfast, while expensive, was large enough to share and okay.
−A bedside lamp would be a useful addition, as the main light was bright enough for dental surgery! Unfortunately, one staff member’s manner throughout our stay made me feel very uncomfortable and, at times, intimidated. Our door lock was broken, and when we asked for it to be fixed, they initially dismissed our concerns and said the property’s dogs would protect our belongings. It was eventually repaired, but very begrudgingly, as if they were doing us a favour. We had similar experiences in the restaurant. At around 2 p.m., while another table was still finishing their lunch, we were told we would need to wait an hour to order. Thankfully, another staff member kindly stepped in and arranged food for us. That evening, we were told at 8:45 p.m. that the kitchen was closed and that we needed to order quickly, yet ten minutes later a large group arrived and was served without any issue. The dog also barked throughout the night and disturbed our sleep. I wouldn’t advise against staying here, but this particular staff member’s attitude needs improvement, as we were often made to feel like an inconvenience.
