“Awesome stay”
+The check in process is so easy and the staff is very friendly as well. The room is clean, and has everything you need - microwave, fridge, coffee machine and the location is great as well - easy to get to anywhere.

“Hopefully never again”
+Location was fine. No breakfast. Bummer
−Pull out bed was disgustingly dirty. Regular bed killed our backs. Very uncomfortable.

“Acceptable stay, close to downtown Ely, friendly staff”
+The staff is lovely, friendly, and went above and beyond to help. The beds were clean, easy entry and exit, located close to downtown so it is a convenient location. It was ok for a 2 night stay, especially with the kind staff.
−The actual facilities were a little old, a little odd, with the a/c unit up near the ceiling so the light from the temp gauge lit up the room at night. Kept hitting my leg on the bulky wood frame of the bed that stuck out. Hair in the shower. You have to call the front desk to get a small tub of ice, but they responded quickly. Older hotel, but in Ely, MN, there don't seem to be a lot of options, and since it is the Boundary Waters, the price for rooms in Ely seem just higher in general for what you get. The room was adequate for our stay.
