“AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. DISGUSTING AND POTENTIALLY UNSAFE CONDITIONS. Our first room had black mould throughout”
+AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. DISGUSTING AND POTENTIALLY UNSAFE CONDITIONS. Our first room had black mould throughout the bathroom and a strong smell of damp. After complaining, we were moved to another room, which stank of urine and had pubic hairs in the bathroom. Absolutely revolting. There was also clearly a leak in the hotel hallway, raising further concerns about the building’s maintenance and ongoing damp issues. The staff were also exceptionally slow at check-in, although this was minor compared to the appalling hygiene standards. The hotel looks lovely from the outside, but don’t be fooled. The rooms are filthy, poorly maintained and raise serious health concerns. The fact that both rooms were unacceptable suggests a much wider problem. Completely unacceptable. I strongly advise everyone to stay elsewhere.

“Nice staff & breakfast, more like a b&b not a hotel”
+Breakfast was perfect
−The room was too small with a bedside table on one side of the bed as the other side of the bed was around 30cm wide! There was a raised floor section next to the wardrobe which required a suitcase stand which it didn’t have & we kept our case on the floor

+the hotel its self was fantastic. the whole place réminiscence of the Victoria times.. its grand rooms are a definite plus..
−my room was on the first floor facing the main street .. ear plugs are a must .. if you dont mind the road trafic and people shouting then great otherwise ask for a different room.. as i was only there for one night didn't matter but longer id of asked to be moved.. but over all not a bad room .. apart from the obvious

+Room was very spacious and decor etc., in keeping with expectations i.e. old hotel with great features. Breakfast was good and location excellent. Staff friendly and helpful apart from comment below...I am from Liverpool and enjoyed coming back and staying at the Adelphi, I used to be a member of the leisure club for the pool facilities etc., so know it well.
−I did not notice when booking that parking fees where on top of the hotel costs not sure whether it was mentioned?? What was even more disappointing was the lack of knowledge by the staff about the parking and lack of information. When we parked there is a sign telling you to register at reception, however reception told us to pay when leaving the car park! this lack of information caused some concern and worry and wasted our time.

+I enjoyed every minute, the staff where great, friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you, my only criticism is we came down for breakfast at 9.00am and it was very dry because the food had been under the heat lamps since probably 7 am but the next day we came down at 7 and it was delicious, but overall we had a fantastic stay at the adelphi Liverpool.
−If the breakfast was cooked in two stages so customers who come down for breakfast after half 8 to 9.00 would still have a fresh breakfast.
