“Brilliant place in everything 100%”
+The food was fantastic and the service was A1 nothing was to much trouble . Room was clean and tidy I asked for more tea coffee etc and a little basket was there. Brilliant for sight seeing we did have really bad rain and wind but everything inside was cosy

“Debs was wonderful, but the room’s cleanliness was very disappointing”

“Disappointing”
+It was convenient and the staff were pleasant.
−The entire place was dirty; trodden in food on the carpets in the restaurant, my ensuite bathroom was grubby and in particular the toilet was unclean. Most of the beer was off. The food was not as described; locally sourced butchers sausages were clearly cheap supermarket sausages, the mash was rock hard, presumably re-heated. The starter was nice, garlic mushrooms, but the sour dough bread consisted of 2 small rounds smaller than a biscuit. Various things didn't work (TV couldn't find any channels, wifi in the room had no Internet, plus a few light bulbs were out). There was a distinct sewage smell in the hall leading to the rooms and the staired /roof access was all rather precarious. The entire place, but in particular the accommodation had a very run down feeling.

−Rooms were run down with wallpaper hanging off, cobwebs everywhere and spiders, no tv remote, dusty extractor fan, dirty bin, empty shower gel tube in shower, the shower had no pressure and bed sheets smelt fousty.

“Bad place would not recommend”
+The view outside the room was nice,and location was handy because we were visting family.
−Abercrave inn complaints Was given wrong key upon arrival Window will not close- safety hazard and can be pushed open from the outside Broken furniture around the room Unclean room.- Carpets have clearly not been hoovered in a long while. Bathroom floor was black and had a rug put over it. Dirty window sill and wasn’t attached to wall Cobwebs everywhere Bathroom had mould Bathroom had lots of dead bugs by the mirror. Tv didn’t work- was advertised online that room had tv No signal in the room And no WiFi available. Also advertised online. Pub closed early on Sunday. Wasn’t due to close till 11 and was closed by 9. Bedbugs! Found a bedbug on the headboard of the bed on the second night. After that found more of them around the room. This was mentioned in a complaint by someone who stayed just 5 days before. There was no air conditioning, which was advertised online Tea and coffee was available but tea bags were loose and not packaged- and given the cleanliness of the room i wouldn’t bother. The bedsheets had all sorts of stains over and given the bedbugs I’d imagine its blood from bites. Didn’t see any CCTV outside the rooms or for parking which I see as a huge risk.

+the staff on duty a man who i think may be the chef and a lady who may have been the manager were lovely, very helpful and really welcoming.
−our room was so dirty I was close to leaving amd sleeping in my car. cobwebs hanging from the coving, dead bugs on the window sil, the carpet in the bathroom was full of dust and dead bugs,mouldy shower tray? dust on the mirrors and bed side table, coffee/tea spil marks on the bed side table, the light shade was full of thick dust.
