+Have been here many times, my preffered place in the area. Probably the cheapest stay in the area. Located in a beautiful abbey building complex, which is huge and has a lot of areas to walk and admire. Has a spacious free parking behind the gate. Abbey itself looks like a medieval museum, can wander inside for some time. Once i arrived during organ music concert inside, which gave extra medieval atmosphere. There are multiple areas outside the building, where is possible to spend time: yards, terassas, small grape field, small fish pond, few gardens, beer pub, restaurant. Indoors are a few areas for work/study, restaurants, concert hall etc. I arrived with small kid and multiple heavy luggage, navigating even to the upper floors was easy, as the floors are levelled, there are a few elevators. So this place is absolutely suitable for people with limited mobility or heavy luggage. For entertainment nearby, there is Roda J.C. Arena about 15 car minutes away, it has a lot of entertainment and shopping options for adults and kids. About the rooms, i have stayed in different rooms: single (retro), double (modern), double(retro), family room (modern). Modern: have beautiful laminate, new
−From all the times i stayed here, there was only once experience i would name negative. Once i arrived to check-in and there was a large group of AFNORTH school students. These people flooded all the entrance lobby, blocking every door frame. I went in the back of line to take a place. Students of this school was cutting line in front of me many times, in total around 30 people squeezed themselves in front of me. Even adressing them, that line starts further behind me, had no effect. Folks just ignored me. Sad was to see, how teachers do the same. First there came 2 teachers and just stand in front of me like i was invisible. Later one more came and joined the other two. At some point one of the teachers looked at me and told, there will be a few students coming with her, so another group of students stand in front of me. It took me 2 hours to check-in. For sure this school is missing some manners education. Even though education of students is not a hotel responsibility, it made me think, that accomodating large groups of people needs a better organisation. Perhaps it is a deliberate choice to survive 2-3 hours of chaos and come back to business as normal. But there is no need to

“Uniek gebouw op een prachtige plek.”
+De locatie en het gebouw zijn fantastisch. Zowel het binnenterrein, de gevels als de inrichting zijn heel bijzonder en errg sfeervol. Voor de prijs ga je in de verre omgeving niets beters vinden.
−De bedden waren goed genoeg, maar bleven niet goed tegen elkaar staan en kraakten nogal.
