“Great for exploring Bath.”
+Amazing location.
−Gordon Ramsey restaurant was poor. Wanted to take a shower at 9pm and only got cold water; very disappointed about that.

+Good central location
−Only one person working on reception when we arrived (5pm) so quite a bit of a wait to check-in.

“I couldn't recommend it highly enough - the staff team were all excellent.”
+The staff were excellent on arrival, really friendly and efficient. The room was really clean and the cleaners had prepped the room properly for three of us (sometimes when you book a family room, staff only leave two towels, two cups etc and so it's great to know the lovely room cleaning staff showed good attention to detail). The Podium parking spots are right next door to the hotel which was great as we had a few bags with us and it was raining.
−Only a swimming pool could have made it better but that's obviously not possible on that site.

“Pleasing.”
+Breakfast was plentiful and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our family room was a good size.
−It wasn’t clearly explained that children eat free on weekdays if adults paid full price for mains from the main menu. I only got a clear answer from the third member of staff I asked. This was a minor issue, though.

“If I was to stay again I wouldn’t pay for breakfast and eat out in Bath.”
+In the centre of Bath
−Breakfast time wasn’t good, no pastries one morning, no bacon the next and no spread for the toast, it just felt there was no flow, no milk next to the tea and coffee. Unable to get draft beer Sunday evening.

“Good location with pleasant staff”
+Being able to open the window in my room. Location of hotel. Gentleman on the reception desk (Hasan? Sorry if I've got that wrong) was very welcoming and pleasant.
−Breakfast was a bit underwhelming; platters of hot food and pastries very sparse. Having a room by the lift. It was noisy. Will remember to ask to be away from it next time. Bit of a squeeze in the bathroom but manageable. When choosing hotel, it says there's parking but you don't learn that you have to pay for it until you've booked the room. I think that should be clearer.
