“A truly lovely place to stay.”
+Location, style, decor and comfort. A great kitchen and there was even a washer and dryer for our clothing. It has a fantastic view of the zoo and the parrots and Hornbills. You might even be able to hear the monkeys have an argument during the night. It is so convenient for trains and public transportation - the station is a five minute walk. It was a truly great place to stay.
−The stairs are really steep but in keeping with such a historic building. While there are two showers there is only one loo. The floor is a bit rough and could do with sealing to stop splinters getting in your feet and finally it could do with more hanging space for families like ours that stay more than a couple of nights.

“An affordable but chic apartment surrounded by nature sounds, a truly amazing gem jn Antwerp.”
+The rooms were spacious and the overall feel of the space was cozy and chic. I loved that is was next to a zoo, so that you vould see trees and even parrots and other birds when looking out of the window. The room did not have warm water at the time I arrived, but the staff was very quick to react and fix the problem, so it was a very pleasant experience despite this one little inconvinience. Also loved that the bedroom had curtains that actually blocked out the light.
−If I could change anything at all, I would add some carpets, since the floors are quite old and made from wood. It would make the room feel even more cozy. A carpet under the living room area and under the dining table would do the trick. Also would be nice to be able to cover the living room windows with curtains, since I was solo travelling and this makes a person feel more safe at night. :) These are just some suggestions, all in all I really liked the apartment. Also, the shower was a bit broken and sprayed water. But that was a small thing. :)

“Superb”
+We had 2 apartments for 7 nights. Location close to train station worked well for us. We used Antwerp as a base for day trips. The host kindly allowed a late checkout. In the ground floor apartment the bathroom and 2nd bedroom are accessed through the first bedroom.This may not work well for everyone, but was fine for us. The 2nd/3rd floor (3rd/4th in U.S.) apartment had narrow steps, but was fine and kind of charming for us. This was a great apartment, overlooking the zoo. Each bedroom had a shower and a sink. There was a seperate room with a shared toilet (no sink). We would definitely stay there again. We really enjoyed the apartments and Antwerp.

“Worst stay!”
+We can't think of anything good about this apartment
−-After arriving we went to the toilet and the panel behind the toilet fell down and hit us. It was very dangerous. - nails and splinters are sticking out of walls, floors and cabinets. We hurt ourselves and it has destroyed some of our clothing pieces -You cannot walk barefoot or with socks to the toilet without getting splinters in your feet. - there was no tea, coffee, hand soap, pans and cutlery to cook with - we found a dirty old men's t-shirt behind the bed. That was absolutely disgusting. - the shower looks nice, but it was covered with spider webs on the ceiling and the pressure is extremely low. - we tried to call the owners many times to solve this problem and they ignored us.
