“A Delightful Traditional Experience in Kanazawa”
+I had a fantastic stay in this traditional two-story home in Kanazawa. The space was impeccably clean and felt very authentic. The layout worked well for us, with two comfortable beds upstairs and a traditional futon setup in the other room. Having access to a fully functional kitchen and a washer downstairs made the stay very convenient, and the location itself was wonderful,it was incredibly quiet and tucked away from the city noise. We would love to stay here again.
−While the house itself was lovely, there were a few logistical challenges. The unit is quite far from everything, and since it is not located near the main reception office, the check-in process was a bit of an ordeal, requiring two separate taxi rides and consuming nearly half of our day. Additionally, there was some frustration regarding our shipped luggage; it required quite a bit of back-and-forth arguing to convince the staff to have the bags delivered to our unit rather than forcing us to travel back to the office to retrieve them ourselves. However, they were ultimately able to accommodate our request and get the luggage to us, which we greatly appreciated. Despite the initial check-in hurdles, it was a memorable and peaceful stay.

“Traditional but not worth the effort”
+Staying in a traditional house.
−The distance from the check in office was 2km away, and with a check out time of 10am and then only allowing bags to be stored from 12pm means you have to hang onto your luggage for 2 hours. The walk with luggage was tough, not to mention the buses are full so taking luggage on buses is also tough.

+Beautiful little house, great amenities in the kitchen and bathroom. The location is a short walk from the Higashi Chaya district and close to bus stops. Also right next to a local Sento that we could visit in the evening. The beds could be more comfortable, also the exit light upstairs made it harder to sleep, but had to just wear an eyemask.

+Great location, 10 min walk to Omicho market and hence the rest of the attractions. I loved the space and the fact that it was so lovely decorated/furnished.
−Just one sink for both the kitchen and the bathroom but it is a minor downside after all…

“Authentische Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, von wo aus man alles gut erreichen kann.”
+Die Lage ist sehr gut, ruhig, aber nah genug am ÖPNV und dem kulturellen Zentrum. Für 4 Personen ist das Haus sehr übersichtlich (je nach Gepäck sogar ein wenig eng. Gute Ausstattung, sehr sauber. Schlüsselübergabe, trotz später Ankunft, unkompliziert.
−Es gibt nicht wirklich etwas auszusetzen.
