“Just wow”
+Very beautiful and big room, an amazing view and nice pool. Mariano felt like a true friend immediately and was so helpful with everything. Good wifi, shower, and beds. Very clean.
−Small detail; a trash can in the room would be really convenient. The rental bikes could be in better state but they work :)

+I chose the book now & pay later option but Xambé charged my card anyway. Even with proof, they denied it. Expedia was unable to resolve it and advised me to contact my bank. They are investigating. Prior to this & upon the advisement of an Expedia representative, I canceled the 1st booking in due time and rebooked as a bundle deal expecting a refund. As for the apartment, it was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The rooftop pool is gorgeous! However, I had an issue with bugs in my ground floor bedroom. I didn’t panic when I saw the first bug as the security guard was kind enough to come to the rescue. But the second night there was one on my bed that got away so I slept in the other bedroom with my daughter and her friend the remainder of our stay! The manager’s solution was to fumigate the next morning while we were out of the apartment. Just as I feared, that brought more out of “hiding” which left dead bugs on the floor that were not removed! I understand that the environment is a conducive habitat for bugs, however extra efforts should be taken to prevent or minimize the problem PRIOR to each guest’s arrival especially in the ground floor apartments. “Exceptional.”
+Loved everything about this hotel - the room sizes, cleanliness, decor, and the rooftop pool was everything!!! 100% recommend.
−Only detractor is the location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with no restaurants around it, but we ordered in and it wasn’t a problem.

“Nice place with good facilities but lacks a hotel touch”
+The room itself was great - very big with a lot of natural light and comfortable super king bed. Pool on the roof was also very nice and modern. Staff on reception were friendly. Decent value for money.
−The location isn’t amazing. Aldea Zama is an up and coming area with a lot of construction currently. We came in May so it also felt like a bit of a ghost town. Definitely need your own car otherwise would be tedious. A few issues with the room. Firstly there was a thin door separating us from the guests in the next room. So we could hear their conversations. Secondly just understand this isn’t really a hotel. No turn down service (this was extra), or rubbish clearance. Also no bin…. Why? Laundry was free, but you had to do it yourself…

+Super modernes hotel.

+This was our second trip to Tulum Mexico which we absolutely love! We decided to stay in the Aldea Zama area bc we loved the proximity to both the beach (hotel zone) and also the city center. Xambe was amazing! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and welcomed like family. The hotel and most in the area are designed as apartment style with full kitchens. Our intent was to utilize this feature however the LOCAL restaurants were just too good to pass up tacos for breakfast! Lol!! The rooftop infinity edge pool is gorgeous and quiet. It was basically our own private retreat. We absolutely will be back to Xambe and have already recommended to friends.
