−The smell of the place was vile, first things your hit with walking in the door was like sewage, it didnt feel or look clean at all, not like the photos. there is definitely work needing doing need re painting and updating 100% The shelfs and draws still had rubbish in them the top shelf where the iron was looked liked it hadnt been touched in months, there was still old medication packs and nappy cream packets, we kept all our clothes in suitcases due to not wanting them being ruined. We walked into the room having a leek that I know is none of their faults. And the man fixing it was nice and couldnt apologise anymore. But it felt hectic from the go to be honest. Felt like i interupeted the women that give me my key as she mentioned she was dealing with somthing as i ran to the other apartment for the key but she missed me as she ran to the appointment we was at, she walked past me and asked if it was my partner in the van that was just watching her when she walked down to the appartment we was staying in like he was meant to know who she was. So wasnt a friendly invite in. No soap in room. So yeah i wouldnt book again. Dont understand how its got the rating it does tbh.

+Location is excellent you are right near coral island, main shopping strip, beach, tower. Perfect location for our dance competition at the tower.
−It wasn’t clear the property was in the basement on booking. It was clear there had been damp issues and there was a musty smell on entry. There were large dehumidifiers in all the rooms that were quite noisy and had to be turned off at night. An effort had been made to clean the property but it was not to a good standard. The kitchen in particular was not great. A large gap in the units where the washing machine had been removed for repair showed grime and dirt. There was a damp towel and bowl catching leaking water under the sink that was stagnant and smelled awful. The owner did come and remove that when asked. It’s not a kitchen I would have been comfortable cooking in. There was no plug in the kitchen sink so you couldn’t even wash up. We hadn’t planned takeaway and ate out for this reason.

−Very disappointing and felt unsafe Unfortunately, our stay at Wilson’s Lodge was extremely disappointing and, in our experience, not worth anywhere near £100 a night. The hotel was very dirty and unclean when we arrived. Check-in was stated as 3pm, but we had to wait around an hour before we could get into our room, while staff were still rushing around trying to clean. We were also given a number of rules regarding keeping the doors locked because, according to staff, homeless people and people affected by drug use could simply walk into the property. Being told this immediately made us feel very unsafe, particularly as we were staying with three young boys. There were also people fighting on the street outside during our stay, which added to the feeling that the area and accommodation were not safe or suitable for families. Things got even worse when the fire alarm went off. We were made to stand outside for over an hour before anyone arrived or the situation was resolved. What was particularly disappointing was that there was no apology or proper explanation afterwards. We were told that there was supposedly someone on site 24/7, but during our stay there were times when there a
