10.0“PERFECTION!”
+Cannot recommend Callow Hall enough. We went there for a few days after getting married to celebrate, and it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in one of the treehouses and loved it, the room was so cosy and warm, and had everything we needed. It was peaceful and quiet, and was lovely to sit on the balcony staring into the countryside. Breakfast hamper was fantastic as well, would recommend! The staff were all fantastic and lovely throughout, they literally couldn’t do enough - from taking us to our Treehouse in a buggy, coming up to deliver food multiple times (the pizza on the room service was 10/10), regularly asking how we were doing - a highlight was I’d run out of decaf coffee pods, next thing you know 6 have appeared in the room. We took advantage of the free bikes to go along the Tissington trail which was great fun. The dinner in the restaurant was exquisite, every part of it was perfect - it was worth every penny. We will absolutely be going back, thank you for making our time so magical.

10.0“Delicious Sunday Lunch with amazing views”
+Recently visited Callow Hall for a family Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I really appreciated the environmental touches including the ingenious use of old menus as napkin rings - such a great idea. The views are amazing and the grounds perfect for a nice stroll after our lunch. Would highly recommend.

10.0“Dream wedding, thank you Dana!”
+We honestly cannot recommend Dana and Wildhive Callow Hall highly enough. Our wedding was quite literally the best day of our lives. From the very beginning and all the way through to the wedding itself, Dana’s attention to detail, calm professionalism and sheer ability to keep everything running beautifully were incredible. We still do not quite know how she does it all, but she is an absolute powerhouse. What made Dana so exceptional was the way she brought our vision to life while making the whole process feel effortless. She was always there with thoughtful advice when we needed it, but never in a way that felt pushy. No ask ever felt too big, and no detail was ever too small to matter. She made us feel so reassured throughout the whole process, and everything came together even more beautifully than we could have imagined. The staff on the day were also wonderful and played such a huge part in making everything feel so special. They were warm, thoughtful and so generous in the way they looked after everyone. They created such a lovely atmosphere for us and our guests, and really helped make the whole day feel relaxed, special and unforgettable. We also really appreciated how w

6.0“Ok but should be better for the price.”
+Lunch in the restaurant a treat for a special occasion. First the positives. Beautiful setting and the food (we had a 3 course meal) was faultless and imaginative. Now the negatives. The wine is overpriced eg.£64 for a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The service was pretty graceless and it felt almost as if we were an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. The waitress got things wrong more than once and the barman who also serves to table barely bothered to speak when bringing over drinks. The prices are high end but unfortunately other than in the quality of it's food this restaurant hasn’t quite reached those standards yet. If you’re happy to pay high prices for good food and you aren’t concerned about standards of service and attention to detail this place is fine. Otherwise there are better Peak District options for the same price tag.

6.0“Beautiful Setting in the Peaks, let down by breakfast.”
+We booked a Lovely Double room over the Valentines weekend at Callow Hall and could not be more excited to spend a few days relaxing in the Peaks. We arrived after a long drive from London to be welcomed by friendly staff and a warm fire in the main lobby. Our room was huge (compared to our tiny London apartment), as was the super King size bed. We were so pleased to have booked a room in the Lodge rather than one of the wild hives as the weather was miserable all weekend. It made for the perfect cosy start to our weekend. The following day we went down to the main restaurant for breakfast. This is where I would say Callow Hall has made some poor decisions. Firstly our room cost over £350 per night. One would expect breakfast to be included in that price. Unfortunately it wasn’t and there wasn’t an option to include it when booking the room. (Perhaps I missed it) Secondly the prices were on par with some of our favourite brunch places in london but the execution and overall finesse was lacking. It took 10 minutes for our coffee to arrive. We ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs. It was frankly poor on all fronts. The toast wasn’t particularly flavourful. The avocado was obvi

2.0“Beautiful stay overshadowed by disappointing handling of a lost item and no response from senior management”
+We recently stayed at Wildhive Callow Hall and, in many ways, it was a truly lovely experience. The setting is stunning, the property itself is beautifully done, and during our stay the atmosphere and service were exactly what you would hope for from a hotel of this standard. Unfortunately, everything that followed after we returned home has left us extremely disappointed. A small, knitted fox belonging to my nine-year-old daughter was accidentally left behind in our room. It has no monetary value, but it is her comfort item which she has had since birth and is emotionally irreplaceable. Losing it has had a genuine impact on her. What has concerned me most is not simply that the item has not been returned, but the apparent lack of a clear, auditable lost-property process. At no point have we been given confidence that there is a robust system in place for logging, safeguarding and tracing guests’ belongings once they are found. I deliberately chose not to raise this publicly at first. Instead, I wrote - twice - directly to the Managing Director in good faith (after raising the issue in numerous emails to the General Manager) asking for: • An explanation of the lost-property procedu

10.0“A break to remember”
+We stayed in a treehouse for a couple of nights and it was incredible! What a treat! The treehouses are amazing! Fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room, comfy double and twin room and two bathrooms. A bed, toy, towel and bowls were provided for our dog. We had delicious pizza and fries delivered on the first night and ate in The Garden Room restaurant the second night. We walked down for breakfast both mornings. You can ask to eat in the lounge so your dog can join you, as they can’t go in main restaurant. The food is expensive but absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. We also had massages at the courtyard, which were excellent. Plenty to do in the locality - recommend walks around Dovedale. Special shout out to Dup, a wonderful South African gent, who was the hotel porter and was so friendly and helpful and helped make our stay extra special. Would love to return.
