“Excellent place in a brilliant location”
+Great location, within 30 mins of some great activities and villages. Loads of walks and cycle trails. The cottage was renovated from old stables ( I think) and we loved how the space kept its features yet was very practical and beautifully designed. The shower was amazing, hot and powerful. The beds were comfortable and the boys loved the bunk beds. The hosts are really lovely. Lowther castle is just around the corner and it’s beautiful, gorgeous gardens, loads of walking and cycling near the river. It also has a fantastic outdoor play park ( lost castle adventure). Pooley bridge is 15-20 mins away with a lovely lake walk and places to eat. Keswick 25 mins, historical and beautiful town, loads of shops and the best chippy! We did the Threlkeld to Keswick railway walk/cycle path which was stunning. Also, Aira Force is 15 mins away and again is a stunning walk amongst the waterfalls. Excellent short break.
−Not a dislike, just a suggestion. Maybe a smaller dining table and change of layout so that a family can snuggle whilst watching TV…. Saying that, the kids coloured at the table whilst we were there. WiFi wasn’t the best but to be expected in such a remote area and I enjoyed a break from my phone.

+Amazing location and excellent facilities. The nature and surroundings of the farm were very special. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Easy access to Ullswater and tbe rest of the Lake District.
−Internet not 100% reliable but not surprising because of the location.

“Perfect”
+Staying at Widewath was wonderful. The apartment was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The location is fantastic with lots of lovely local walks. The farm is so peaceful and the views are gorgeous. I really didn't want to leave.

+Clean and cozy self catering with everything we needed. Comfy beds and a peaceful sleep. George let us help bottle feed and cuddle some lambs and it was nice talking to him and Alice about life on the farm. Great location for exploring the lake district or to relax on the farm and walk the local area.

+We had a lovely Easter weekend at Widewath barn. Beautiful scenery and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Alice the host was wonderful and we loved seeing the farm animals and meeting the jack Russells. Altogether a peaceful and relaxing stay.
