“Lovely house!”
+The house was lovely. Everything was very clean and tidy and we especially loved the master bedroom and the lounge. It had everything we needed such as washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, airer. Dishwasher tablets/washing pods/washing up liquid/hand soap were kindly supplied. The location was nice, but we had to do a fair bit of driving to get to various places. The village has a couple of eateries and shops. We tried the Indian, the kebab house and the bakery. The village location also provided some great (albeit hilly!) walking and running routes.

+Location ideal for visiting family in the area. Property large and comfortable. En-suite bathrooms good. Dishwasher and tablets provided. On-site parking good.
−A small welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and sugar and possibly eggs and bread would have been a real very welcome to save having to go back out for these. Other similarly priced venues in the area have provided in the past.

+Everything was great, location was perfect to visit family in the area and the property was so much nicer in person. They have done a great job with renovating it.
−Maybe just a few simple things like salt/pepper etc but it's not necessary.

+Location, cleanliness, peaceful - very comfortable beds.
−The shared in and out bathroom. The locks were not placed correctly so it couldn’t be made private for whichever room was using it. Saucepans there which could not be used on that particular hob.

“Large, Quiet and relaxing lodge with lots of room, parking and plenty of walks with the dogs”
+The house is lovely. Enormous master bedroom and great size twin room, both ensuite. The twin bathroom is large with a bath and separate large shower which all looks brand new. There is another double bedroom off the hallway which shares the bathroom with the twin room. There is also a small toilet in the foyer. The kitchen is big, lovely and clean and seems new. The living room is huge with comfy sofas and a large TV. You can park right outside the house on the drive, a tight squeeze through the gate though. The lock box is on the gate by the front door. The village is very small and remote and takes a while to get to through winding narrow lanes, but the countryside is gorgeous. The village is pretty much just has a corner shop, bakery, Indian restaurant a teenager's pub (The Red lion) and a nice, small pub called the Old court house. We ventured into the village, which is 5 mins from the lodge on foot on a couple of evenings and ate at the court house one night. You can take your dog everywhere in Devon it seems, sooooo many country walks too. We don’t wish to leave a ‘ didn’t like’ comment because it was so lovely, but, if you are going to cook, make sure you take the essential

“Great property, great hosts, would definitely recommend”
+Clean, pet friendly and safe for my pets and children. Small parking area (fits 2 cars with a squeeze) with gates so my dogs could have a wee in the night and be safe from the road. Well equipped kitchen with good appliances. Lovely decor, especially bedroom etc. Very clean and well presented bed linen. Modern rennovation, clean and accessible. Great hosts, always communicating with me. Would definitely recommend.

“Good weather and a cracking bike ride along the tarka trail.”
−There was an issue with collecting payment which had to be left to the owner to resolve. Booking.com made no contact with me whatsoever and the issue could have been sorted quickly, had they done so. We had intended to eat out in the evenings but the local eateries were either closed or not serving food in the evenings. We had a takeaway from the Tandoori on the Friday which was fine.
