“Only thing you hear is the birds singing”
+It is absolutely quiet except for the birds springing in spring. The accommodation is in a cul-de-sac, which continues in the form of a forest path. The garden is lovingly decorated. The apartment is so clean, you could eat off the floor. This hosts think of a lot of little things, like wine in the fridge, home-made jam on the kitchen table, sweets and fruits for welcome, etc. etc. I could give it 12/10 if the site allowed me to, and if it were not for a heating problem, which I will describe in the next section.
−I would give 12/10 to this lovely apartment, even though it is in the basement, if it were not for the "German disease". The "German disease" is a heating system, which is totally underdimensioned to heat a place adequately in a reasonable time. A basement apartment, by nature, has a lot of thermal inertia and takes a very long time to heat up. Heat is typically turned off completely between 22-7. My gf grabbed the portable heater, but it ended up heating the bedroom so much that I had to escape to the living room couch, but here it was so cold that I had to put several pieces of clothing on. Probably, if they expect guests, they need to turn on the heat at least 24 h before or supply additional supplementary heaters.

“Very nice stay in Küsten with my family.”
+The flat was bigger then expected and very well equipped. Everything was there what we could have needed, and more. The hosts even arranged a baby travel bed and a high chair for our small son. We were greeted by self made jam and sparkling wine in the fridge. Very welcoming and great. Super polite and helpful hosts which were almost immediately there when problems accured. Thumbs up!
−First of all, there was nothing really bad at all. My personal problem was that it felt much colder in the apartment then I did expect, most of the daytime I was really freezing there and needed a jacket. During the nights we were able to turn on an extra heater in the hallway/living room area and then it was great. I just underestimated how cold a basement apartment would be, and I'm generally a person who is freezing very fast. So, aferall, not the worst 🙂

“Der Gast kommt nach Hause!”
+Leider konnte ich die Waldidylle, auf Grund einer Autopanne nicht genießen! Allerdings wäre es nicht mein 1. Aufenthalt dort gewesen! Dieses Apartment ist aussergewöhnlich! Gemütlich, hochwertig u. sehr gepflegt eingerichtet! Hinzukommt, dass das Haus am Waldrand liegt, Idylle pur u. die Gastgeber plus Hund, sehr, sehr nett sind! Ich versuche immer, bei meinen regelmäßigen Aufenthalten, dieses Apartment zu buchen, doch es ist fast immer ausgebucht!🥴 Wenn es doch mal klappt, ist es wie nach Hause kommen!

−die Lage im Souterain ist bei schlechtem Wetter mglw. etwas duster. Wir hatten Sonne und eine tolle Aussicht auf den wunderschönen Garten!
