1.0“The low price at "booking.com" is counterweighted by many additonal payments via bank transfer.”
−The room/studio was stinky, and I could not use the fridge as the smell of anything left there was unbearable. There is no separate washbasin/washbowl, so you cannot wash your hands. Various additional payments, which have to be sent as a separate bank transfer, were not described on the booking.com page (although the owner claims that "all is described in sufficient detail"), nor in the initial message, so think before you book, if there is no possibility to cancel for free. And prepare to pay for the electricity bill, bank transfer (back for the deposit fee?), standard cleaning service after your stay, pillow and quilt (only towels and beddings are mentioned in the description),

1.0“Additional Mandatory Charges NOT in Listing”
+Vitalija refused my reservation because I refused to pay additional mandatory charges of €21 EUR. I am in the process of applying for a refund from Booking.com
−I paid €15 EUR for a room. Vitalija gave me an invoice for an additional €121 EUR! - listing mentions: damage deposit of €100 EUR, city tax of €1 EUR (okay) - listing does NOT mention additional mandatory charges: €10 EUR for sheets, €10 EUR for cleaning, €1 EUR for his bank charges - Booking.com told me NOT to pay the additional charges because the weren't in listing - Vitalija refused to revise the invoice - Vitalija threatened to report me to Latvian Immigration Services

1.0“I WAS SCAMMED. I STRONLY ADVISE AGAINST STAYING AT THIS PROPERTY!”
−I was asked to provide 100€ as a security deposit, which was supposed to cover any possible damage to the apartment. At no point in the reservation process, nor during communication with the owner, was it mentioned that the deposit is supposed to cover the costs of electricity. The amount I received back from the owner was not the full security deposit I was expecting (which was mentioned both on the listing and during our communication with the host), but an absurdly high electricity bill was collected, amounting to over 20% of the total price of our stay. We spent literally two evenings at the property and used energy only to warm up the room, which was very cold during winter. The communication with the host was terrible and unpleasant, and I received no proof of the situation. I have contacted Booking.com, but the issue remains unresolved. In addition, the price of the towels and sheets cost us 50% of the total price paid on Booking.com, which was 20 euros. If you are looking for a budget apartment in Riga, make sure to include all the additional costs, which make Vitalija apartments a terrible option.

1.0“Pobyt skupiał się wokół nerwów związanych z kaucją i wymuszaniem dodatkowych opłat.”
+Lokalizacja dobra
