“The most awful experience! Please remove this house from Booking.com”
−We were supposed to have the property available from 12:00. However, as we call the owner and inform him that we will arrive at 15:00, he says that someone else is living in the house and we should come preferably after 17:00. We come at 15, as this is the arrival time from the drive, and we come with 4 children and 2 dogs. We cannot wait in the car for two hours. As we come, the place is extremely dirty, and the woman living in the house is busy packing her things. She even has clothes in the washing machine. The owner is from beginning an unsettling guy, and he tells us to cancel the booking and pay him directly. We tell him that it is not possible, as the booking is non-refundable. He then says that he has the option to select in the booking system that we didn’t show up. We tell him, that makes no sense, as we will be charged. The whole first day is wasted on writing and calling with him because he wants to scam the situation. We felt extremely uncomfortable and not safe with him and we took many pictures just to have the proof that we were there. And sure enough, he did register with booking.com that we didn’t show up! Unbelievable. Besides that, the place was very dirty. Ever
