“A wonderful villa in a really nice town. We loved it.”
+The property is a beautiful old villa set in its own garden and both are kept in very good condition. The roof top terrace is ideal for evening drinks and the location is peaceful yet close to bars and restaurants plus less than 2km to the port area. The host family live in the villa but were very discreet and extremely helpful if needed with some very good dining recommendations and they even booked the table for us!

“Staying at this villa, you get more than a roof over your head by the sea , you become part of its history.”
+The villa. Cleanliness matters most to us, and here it was excellent. Classic style with real character: you will absolutely feel like an Italian aristocrat. Every day I found myself wondering who built the place, how people lived here before and what they did for a living. Antique furniture, paintings, rugs, the finishes throughout , every detail carries that long history. We had the entire ground floor to ourselves: two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a study and a spacious bathroom, plus a terrace, a garden and sun loungers on the roof. The rooftop loungers are simply wow , comfortable and completely private. Location. One minute on foot to the rocky beach, three minutes to the big sandy one. Cafés, bars and grocery stores are all nearby. For a seaside holiday the location is unbeatable. The host. We were welcomed by the lovely Luciana, who kindly offered to pick us up at the station. We understood each other right away with the help of Google Translate. Luciana lives on the second floor with her sister and father, with a separate entrance. +About a mile from the center of beautiful Trani, the location is quiet and spectacular for walks along the seaside. The flat is spacious and immaculate. The garden and roof terrace are as beautiful as the photos indicate. Best of all is the warm, genuine, generous and good-natured hospitality of Damiana and her sister and father. We truly hope to return.

“Disappointing host and mold issue”
+Large, pretty location.
−Big cleanliness issue in bathroom, shower covered in mold and rust. Shower one of those cheap plastic corner units and must have been 20 years old. When opening shower door after shower, door literally came off its track and fell into the bathroom, knocking one of bathroom cabinets off the wall. I could have been seriously injured. Top of cabinet was covered in so much dust it looked like it turned to dirt. Instead of apologizing for the scare I had, the host said “when the door falls off (indicating this has happened before) it falls in not out. “ Then I get a note from booking.com that she is requesting 300 euro because I did not follow the rules. It was offensive and unprofessional. I’m guessing that it fell off its track previously and a guest or handyman simply did not attach it correctly, or it is simply old and worn out. She was all stressed out that she had another guest arriving and took it out on me.

+The villa is utterly beautiful in every corner. It’s spacious, lots of character and in a very good location only 4 mins walk to the beach. The host was very understanding and lovely. She went out of her way to communicate and do the best to help with anything: from the villa to the best places to visit around.
