“Loved this property it was like going back in time”
+We loved this property every house is different and has a unique character, its like going back in time to the 60s and it is right on the beach, the staff were extremely friendly and made the stay so enjoyable. I would go there again tomorrow, such a shame its closing

“Paradise”
+We have just come back from another relaxing and enjoyable stay at Settlers Beach. We have been staying at Settlers since the mid 80's with our family and now the grandchildren are accompanying us too. Yes, the property is tired and needs investment but the relaxing environment is second to none. All the staff are very helpful, smiley and do their best in the circumstances, knowing in a few weeks they will be out of a job. We will miss Settlers for all the memories it holds,- not sure the 'new' Settlers will have the same attraction!

“Settlers Beach is closing April 2014”
+Went to Spagos at Settlers Beach in early March 2014 (very enjoyable, superb setting, food good {Pizza) and service friendly if sometimes a little disorganised). While we were there we were told that both the hotel and this version of Spargo's were closing and to be demolished. Understand the site is being developed by the owners of the Sandpiper Inn, next door who are building 12 family villas on the site. A model of the plans for the site is in Spargo's together with the sales office. The closing date is given as the end of April 2014, but the hotel closure appeared to be already in process, although some of the units nearest the beach were occupied and the grounds and pool still appeared to be well maintained.

“tired and overpriced”
+You can still see vestiges of what Settlers Beach used to be many years ago but now I.m afraid its well past its sell by date.. there is an air of neglect about the place even though the staff bless em ! do there best .The list of faults is endless : our first night the air conditioning unit flooded the bedroom floor we had to be moved to another room and the receptionist mopped the floor; We were given another villa the next day but couldn't unpack because the room would not be ready until the afternoon. The Villa was nearest the road and extremely noisy we had asked to be as far away as possible but no chance The next day the flat wasn;t cleaned at all and they had to call back some poor cleaner from home at 6,oPM The doors would not lock there was intermittent WI FI no TV except in a Bungalow which looked Like it was in a CareHome.

“Do not be taken in”
+Do not be taken in by the photographs and write up. The most disappointing place I have stayed in 20 years. Tired and much in need of updating so really over priced for what it is. No air conditioning in the downstairs living room after we returned from the beach to cool down. Not even a vacuum cleaner available to clear up broken glass!

“Pleasant short stay at Settlers”
+I stayed at the Settlers hotel for 2 nights attending the Holders Festival. The location and setting we're great with the beach right on our doorstep. The grounds were well kept and the staff friendly. The rooms are dated and I understand that the villas are going to be refurbished so when this is done it will be a fab place to stay on Holetown

“Lovely villa in great setting”
+We stayed here in January 2013 for one night as we had to check out of Art Studios where we had been staying . Settlers beach is next door to the Sandpiper and Art Studios so we knew the area well, size of beach, Spago,s restaurant and the facilities around the area. Our villa was lovely, well equipped and appointed, air con worked perfectly in the bedroom and the bed was super comfortable. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Slight problem with the hot water in that there wasn't much of it for a bath but the shower was fine. The setting is calm and peaceful, quiet pool and restaurant in the grounds. The only gripe I would have is the wifi connection is awful, it barely worked and often not at all. But on the whole a nice place to stay, helpful staff and good facilities.

“Beautiful grounds, clean, comfortable but needs a little updating”
+We stayed here in December 2012, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the villa was large and clean and comfortable. We only ate at the restaurant the first night, but it was right on the beach so good spot to have a drink. The hotel grounds are beautiful, I hope they don't change too much when they renovate the hotel. The villas are dated and it will be interesting to see how they change, the sun beds on the beach also need updating as they weren't very comfy. I would stay here again. It would also be good to have a gym on site.

“Good but not for long”
+This ideal mini estate of 22villas set in 4acres right on the beach is being knocked down after this season to make way for a bigger delevopment. The staff are super, but the minor maintenance is showing signs of need. You can walk to local shops including very upmarket ones as well as more general ones. Lots of restaurants nearby, the on site one, spa go is not as good as it looks. I would happily stay again.

“Good”
+we stayed here for 3 nights. The property is self catering and is 5 mins walk from the center of hole town, the villa was ok, slightly tired but well equipped and suitable for a couple and families too. When we went the time was slightly off season and was very quiet, this was unfortunate as there was not a great deal of excitement to be had. We found this to be an expensive option as we usually go to all inclusive hotels. There is a restaurant on site called SPAGO, this served breakfast lunch and dinner.
