“We very much enjoyed our stay but would have appreciated a cleaner abode”
+Nice to have the entire house. Well located for local exploration. Comfy bed.
−Cottage could use a deep cleaning: there were accumulated finger smudges on cupboard doors, crumbs on shelving in some cupboards, microwave required a good scrubbing to remove splattered food on walls and turntable; some of the beverage glasses needed washing (fingerprints and smudges); bathroom sink had some soap scum; lounge sofa and chair were lumpy and uncomfortable--we used the rocking chairs instead; most unsettling was black mould around window frames (I know damp is an issue in Scotland, but we live on Canada's west coast where it rains 7-8 months annually) and in a corner of the main bedroom on the wall just above the floor by the dresser. This is a health hazard! I appreciate that my comments might sound picky, but we have stayed in dozens of AirB&Bs and Booking.com units in more than 20 countries over decades so we have a very good basis of comparison. And our comments are meant as a means to improve a very pleasant cottage. If your guests do not make these suggestions you won't know what needs attention.

+Perfect location for the Shetland Wool Week! 12 minutes away from Lerwick only.! Well equipped kitchen, cosy house to stay for a week away from home! Local facilities are a short walk away!

“Comfortable property in a great location”
+Lovely property in a fantastic location. Mark was a great host and provided all the information we needed including recommendations for local shops and places to eat. We also appreciated the early check in and welcome items. Thank you very much. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Shetland.

“Lovely house”
+Great location. Lovely house. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
−Shower pressure wasn't great and the sink in the bathroom didn't drain properly. But these were not an issue and didn't impact our stay.

“Great property, suited us perfectly.”
+Viewcliff was perfect for us. Had all the facilities we needed to make our holiday easy and is in a great location for being able to explore Shetland and is only a minutes walk from the harbour front of Scalloway which was pleasant for an evening stroll.

“Home away from home!”
+Very comfortable and well located accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped, even down to an airfryer. The heating worked well which we were very thankful for! Our host left some welcoming goodies in the kitchen, which were very much appreciated. He contacted us too to inform us of the Aurora visibility and suggested good viewing places.

“Very homely and comfortable stay - highly recommended”
+Great location close to shops including a fantastic butchers. Property itself was very homely and comfortable. The Host was very responsive and helpful.
−Nothing much. Didn’t realise it shared access and garden with another holiday let but it didn’t cause us any issues and was still very peaceful.
