“Overvalued, worse than expected”

−Getting the keys was a quest like the Fort Boyard show. We had to follow instructions by WhatsApp and eventually find the keys in a lockbox at the bike station. Quite a nerve-racking situation after a tiring journey... We knew the studio was in a historical building, but we did not expect that it would not be improved to meet even basic requirements. All doors had locks and keys, but they did not work, even for the bathroom. The sockets were only few, and we had to choose what to plug, e.g. the washing machine or the kettle - very inconvenient! As the owner explained, several appliances were not allowed to be pluged simulatenously because of 3 kW electricity in Italy - strange for a developed country, how do hotels deal with this? The service was also below expectations. The floor and shelves were covered by dust as though nobody lived here for months. The owners knew that we were four people, but the cutlery was mostly for two. But the worst was the shower which had a weak flow and intermittently changed from hot to cold. We feared that our children would catch a cold, but fortunately they fared well just because they preferred not to take a shower until they return home.

“Good Florence base”
+Great location in walking distance to main sights, away from the crowd but with good local restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Railway station 15 minutes easy walk. Comfrey bed and nice bedding and towels. Good washing machine, drying rack & iron etc. Nice and quiet at night. Lovely to watch swifts from our windows flying above and below us.
−Respect that it is an old building but the apartment could benefit a refresh and some attention to detail that will enhance stays and improve ratings, others have given similar feedback and ideally should be dealt with. Here’s my constructive feedback based on staying five nights; Fix Shower - temperature is intermittent, hot -cold……then maybe hot! Kitchen - provide a few small pans, nice chopping board, more than one dish towel. Decoration - paintwork needs cleaning/decorating and some nicer pictures etc. would create a better ambience.

“Visite a sorpresa! Caldo e zanzare...”

−1 Persone entrano in appartamento senza preavviso, a sorpresa. Sia all'arrivo che il giorno della partenza. Nel primo caso abbiamo sentito aprire mentre facevamo la doccia, sono uscito e un ragazzo mi ha detto in inglese che doveva riparare il frizzer.... che pero' era funzionante, quindi ha fatto una foto e se ne andato. Stessa cosa il giorno della partenza: sentiamo aprire la.porta, quando ho chiesto spiegazioni un ragazzo mi ha risposto che lasciava solo un sacco per le pulizie, erano le 9 il check out e' permesso fino alle 10. Insomma mentre utilizzo un appartamento credo che non sia accettabile avere gente che possa entrare e uscire a piacimento e senza preavviso. 2 Condizionatore a muro, che compare in foto, e' vecchio e non funzionante. Hanno aggiunto un pinguino, inadeguato per raffreddare, non serviva quasi a nulla, ma era molto rumoroso... Risultato non abbiamo dormito tra caldo, rumore e zanzare. Una casa sull'Arno senza zanzariere d' estate e' folle... 4. Acqua pochissima per doccia e lavabo. Cassetta bagno e impianto datato. Impianto di carico dell' acqua inadeguato: tirando lo sciaquone del wc non hai acqua per diversi minuti, sia in doccia che in lavandino. 5 Non abb

+As chaves do apartamento foram deixadas num box pendurado em um apoio de bicicletas, numa esquina próxima ao apartamento e um filminho pra vc se virar na localização. Apartamento caído, necessitando reparos, a senha de internet informada estava errada, nenhuma garrafinha de água de boas vindas ou um restinho de sal e ou açucar. Se puder, não caia nessa .

−El agua para el baño, calienta y se enfria, luego calienta, muy incomodo. No hay tomacorriente en la cosina, debes calentar el agua junto al velador, etc...

+La ubicación. A 15 minutos de todo. Junto al rio en zona tranquila, sin ruido. Que tuviera ascensor aunque fuera antiguo y pequeño era un plus ya que es un tercer piso.
